Shaqiri out, coutinho in anyone?

Agree2 Disagree0

OP, Nope. Next proposition, pls.

Not for me, we have moved on as a team without him, and he is not what our midfield needs in lieu of Wijinaldum leaving. We know finances will be tight so any outlay needs to be for the right player which I don't think Coutinho is.

Coutinho made his bed in a not too pleasant manner. He can lie in it.

31 May 2021 16:55:21
OMG NOOOOOOO!

31 May 2021 17:49:34
Coutinho isn't good enough for us. He is too weak to play in a midfield 3, and not a step up from Mane or Jota on the left wing. Whether i like him doesn't even come into it as unlike Suarez and Sterling he just isn't actually a very good player. We hoodwinked Barcelona and they know it.

Good signing for coutinho, though.
His wages will be very high, playing time will be less. We have too many midfielders falling under that group already even after barring shaq.
Milner, ox, naby.

No chance he would slow the play down way to much. Plus massive wages and faked and injury to leave us in the first place.

31 May 2021 19:45:13
Phil can do one. Little tosser. He may have won a few trophies but he could have been a legend for us. Next.

If the deal is correct and Klopp wants him back. then yes in a heartbeat. He scores goals and that’s what we need.

31 May 2021 22:57:27
Mr T that's some pretty strong language. He's just a guy who thought he was worth more.
Unfortunately it didn't pan out as he had hoped.
Bet he wished he'd said those iconic words. I ain't getting on no plane!
Over and out :)

No point buying a player with a history of severe back problem where the only cure is the Spanish sunshine.

31 May 2021 18:12:17
He’s a sore back! No grass isn’t always greener I’d say him and hazard wake up every morning and say what if!
( don’t say he won it all with Munich they aren’t his dream club so F him! )

Coutinho is too slow for the way we play now. He would slow us down; even Shaqiri is faster. But I will admit that his set piece kicks would come in handy with goals. But I remember the time he was with us, many of us said he was a "one trick pony" and I don't see why that would have changed. He hasn't been able to stick at either Barcelona or Bayern. And unless there is an error of some kind, his name is not on the roster of the Brazil national squad for the Copa America. They found a place for Fred, but no place for Coutinho? Interesting.
