Ohh ed025 another one gone. shame really.

{Ed025's Note - not that bothered to be honest kloppers, great CV but his brand of football was very hard on the eye mate, get a goal then defend for your life may be ok in italy but its not what most of us blues want to see, so its "piss off then carlo and take your son with you"..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed’s 25 honestly mate anyone who can throw away a 3-0 lead ain’t all that. I honestly think Everton can do better.

{Ed025's Note - im with you ace mate..

01 Jun 2021 20:15:43
Let's hope the football genius moyes takes over lol.

{Ed025's Note - lets hope man city sign kane and you lot are back in the wilderness for another 30 years lol..

01 Jun 2021 20:23:53
Wrong manager for your team Ed025 in my opinion. He needs a team of superstars and a rock solid experienced defence. Your right back and left back are far better going forward. Also none of your centre backs inspire confidence; Godfrey was the best of a bad bunch and he spent most the season covering injuries to Coleman and Digne. your midfielders all want to play on the front foot aside from Alan. Even Doucoure is better bursting forward. Richy and DCL are not good enough on the ball for slow build up play either. They looked better in games you went into with a more aggressive approach play. Great manager. Poor fit.

{Ed025's Note - im with you MK..

01 Jun 2021 20:36:35
Think Everton need a manager that plays Everton style football which is fast attacking football. Just my opinion though. Who would you go for Ed25?

{Ed025's Note - myself...potter from brighton redan..

01 Jun 2021 20:54:15
I like carlo, decent manager. him at Everton was like putting lipstick on a pig.

{Ed025's Note - so you went to the grafton as well marty.. :)

01 Jun 2021 21:07:40
Ed25 its unlike a bitter blue to support another club tut tut.

{Ed025's Note - i dont support any other club MR, but i always clap in the movies when the baddie gets his just deserts mate,, :)

01 Jun 2021 21:38:29
I really hope you don’t get Potter Ed025.

He’s a brilliant coach and I’m a big fan, I can’t be dealing with him at the Ev haha!

{Ed025's Note - i think you said that about ever manager we have had smp.. :)

01 Jun 2021 22:02:55
Are you pissed off Billy?

{Ed025's Note - im more disappointed that he never had the balls to see the job through barry (if that is the case), he doesn,t need the money and i thought he had a bit more integrity than that mate.
but being disappointed as an evertonian is all part of the script mate..

01 Jun 2021 22:03:53
Haha! Especially when you landed Big Sam Ed ;)

But in all seriousness, Potter is a superb coach who I was told to keep an eye out for about 5 years ago from someone within Middlesbrough’s academy. Think Ostersunds were In Swedish Div 2 at the time.

He’s completely transformed Brighton’s playing style from how they were under Hughton whilst improving a lot of the same players.

I really hope you don’t get him! Would be the perfect option for a long term project.

{Ed025's Note - i think so too smp but a lot will be clamouring for a big foreign name i expect mate..

01 Jun 2021 22:19:17
I just want say I think Ancellotti is a bit of a flake, he doesn't stay anywhere for much longer than 2/ 3 years, I don't think Everton are any better than when he joined. You're never going to build a club like that. I hope they pick their next manager well and good luck to them.

{Ed025's Note - nice one wuger mate..

01 Jun 2021 22:45:35
Potter would be a nice appointment, he's done very well for himself.

{Ed025's Note - very much so RH, and he knows the league mate..

01 Jun 2021 23:35:10
This is a bit bizarre if I'm honest and I've lost a bit of respect for Ancellotti - not so much for choosing Real, that's expected but he is obviously well down on their list, Ed002 suggested 5 or 6 . knowing that and the fact he had started a project like Everton it was never going to be simple. he will likely be replaced with a bad start.

Everton is very much a project and needs someone to take over that and find a balance to the players brands suggests and the 'suggestions' of moshiri. My starting point would be to get him out the room. then call ajax . I think the head coach there would be a good fit.

{Ed0666's Note - lost respect for Ancelotti? If someone offered you a job living in a warm climate where you’ve had tonnes of success previously, you’re boss respects you, is gonna pay you equal money if not more and you feel the love of you’re employers would you jump ship? I probably would. Football is extremely fickle and transitionary contracts mean nothing. If klopp left Liverpool mid contract to manage Bayern or the national team yes I’d be aggrieved but things like this are a reality. The head coach at Ajax signed a new contract at Ajax I’m not sure hed leave a month after signing. You never know tho

01 Jun 2021 23:47:48
Ed0666. yeah a bit. Its not so much about the job offered, I get its ideal football wise. But he is perhaps the manager I have held in high degree for some time. His actions, generally always were of respect and honesty so whilst football wise I get it. I do think he's just like everyone else now!

{Ed0666's Note - everybody has a price apart from idealists! Listen the guys 61 and he got the job of his dreams handed to him it was tough to say no mate. I would have done the same thing most people would have.

02 Jun 2021 04:44:37
You could say Madrid made him an offer he couldn't refuse, it just goes to show polishing silverware is easy polishing turds more difficult, Carlo just about proved how difficult turds polishing is.

02 Jun 2021 05:00:59
The man is a winner and has won titles everywhere he has managed (Chelsea, PSG, Bayern, Real Madrid), so he's due credit for knowing his job and doing it well. But I've always felt he was somewhat of a lightweight, don't know why. They are vastly different in every way, but Mourinho and Ancelloti share one thing in common; they hit and run every 2-3 years.

{Ed001's Note - he is also basically semi-retired and leaving 99% of the work to his useless son. Everton are well rid to be honest, as they were only going to go backwards if he stayed.}

01 Jun 2021 23:59:57
We're talking as if Ancelotti has turned the club into a laughing stock. They haven't exactly set the world alight since Roberto Martinez left.
they were making slow and steady progress over the two years Carlo has been there. perhaps a shame he isn't going to hang about, but perhaps also reflective of a mismatch in resource to match the ambition of having a coach like Carlo.

{Ed025's Note - if you think he made progress faith...you must not have watched us very often mate..

02 Jun 2021 07:27:54
Ed025, I can imagine the "pretty boy" (Hamezz) and the "stork" (Richarlison) trying to keep pace with Rafa's disciplined ways. Sparks will fly, Lol.

{Ed025's Note - that would not be a bad thing imo ArAy mate..

02 Jun 2021 12:25:32
666 - I tend to agree, but it's interesting to have this opinion on a manager when most of us would be quick to tear him down if he were a player.

02 Jun 2021 08:13:42
The funny thing Ed025 is that he’d probably have had a bigger transfer budget at Everton, he had free reign to decide his transfer targets (madrid really are in the sh*t and he’ll have no say in who they sign) and if Madrid lose more than one game the fans and press will be on his back almost straight away, which would never have happened at Everton. As much as I sit here and mockingly say “Fat Sam’s looking for a job! ”, I really wouldn’t wish that on anyone, well except maybe one of the Manchester clubs, but you’ve suffered him once and twice is just cruel and unusual punishment. My money is on Eddie Howe or as a dark horse, Antonio Conte.

{Ed025's Note - nuno looks to be in pole position at the moment VVVV, i must admit i wanted potter...but dont rule out moyes mate..

02 Jun 2021 12:24:54
25 - depends on what you consider progress and also the timescale you are assessing it on. Everton need 3 - 5 years of solid investment and consistency to get to where I think you want them to be and that is challenging in the top 4 and competing for the other cups.

{Ed025's Note - thats the ideal scenario faith but as we all know it seldom plays out like that mate..
