Enjoyed the video myself; seems like a proper man to be around, not just football. Happy he's the captain of Liverpool and showing real leadership. I really believe he should be England's captain too, but that's a discussion for another day. His response to Roy Keane card-trick jibe was just lovely; what a guy!
Tis to you.

{Ed0666's Note - I just wish he was a little younger so he could lead us for a few more years. Fantastic role model and human being.

He's had a brilliant career for a player who"cant run properly"😃.

Just watched the clip. Got me a little emotional if I’m
being honest. Reminded me of how far we have come as a club. Seeing the player and man Jordan turned into, not to mention the trophies he has now lifted. It’s always said but should never be understated. We are not just a football club but a family, a red family that shares in its lows as well as it highs.

OP, I watched that as well. I lust say that I don't know any of the LFC captains of my lifetime personally and Hendo may not have been the best LFC capt. ever BUT I can say that he is the best human being to ever be capt. of LFC in my lifetime. A great player, a legend and even a greater man. A credit to his family, his club and humanity, IMO.

If he is interested in being a manager one day, I would love to see him as ours.

He looked so young! It doesn't feel like 10 years ago when he joined us, but just looking at the players around him at the time is incredible.

I was unconvinced by his signing at the time, seemed to be a lot of money - £20m - for a young chap who's name didn't end in "inho" and his early couple of years didn't inspire me. However, I think it was 2013-14 when I first started seeing his influence on the team and the game. I was really happy he got the captaincy when Stevie left. Huge shoes to fill in terms of inspirational captaincy, but he has more than filled them.

Whereas Stevie led by example, Hendo does that as well as being the commander on the field. Loved hearing his constant chatter in the games under C.V. when you don't have crowd noise.

Couldn't be more proud to have such a decent human being leading us as well, from the NHS to food banks, you can see how grounded an individual he is.

There was a daft post recently suggesting we sell him! Crazy! Real life is not like FIFA or Championship Manager. You can't just given the captaincy to the player who has the best 'Leadership trait'. Real captaincy and leadership is both on the field and off the field. He is still a great engine, driving the team. Not only that but he is a player and a person who embodies what a footballer should be, and the example he sets the younger players is invaluable.

I hope and pray he remains our captain for years to come and then, when age inevitably catches up with him, I hope both he (and Milly) can join the backroom staff and continue to guide the soul and passion of Liverpool Football Club for years to come.

If Carlsberg made footballers, they'd make footballers like Hendo.
