so from so called rumours it looks like one of the attackers and midfielders will potentially be joining sorry about spelling for some of the names!

Attackers
Daka
Tammy
Ikone

Midfielders
Bissouma
Pelligrini
Neuhaus
Tieliemans

I just don't see Roma or Leicester selling either of there players maybe next year a move will be on for both of them even if it doesn't involve Liverpool

personally I'd be happy if either Daka or Tammy came in. both know where the net is Tammy could give us something different, I don't really no much about Neuhaus maybe one of the Eds could comment? Bissouma looks to be a decent prospect.

{Ed001's Note - who the hell is Tammy? Surely you don't mean Tammy Abraham? You have to be on the wind up if you are referring to him.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Rather promote from within than Abraham. Why would we want a player that’s not good enough for Chelsea is beyond me
Up the pool.

09 Jun 2021 11:06:24
Aah, but he knows where the net is. He's Tammy wi net awareness.
Don't let the Ed put you off Tammy, Kloppers.
Stand by your man.

09 Jun 2021 11:11:35
As an Origi replacement I’d have Tammy all day home grown all the physical attributes and proven scorer at pl level the only question marks are on his fitness in terms of injuries.

09 Jun 2021 11:19:36
I agree that Tammy isn’t necessarily right for us, but not because he is a ‘Chelsea reject’. Studge was a Chelsea reject and he did OK for us, Coutinho was a Milan reject and likewise. Just because a player doesn’t work at a particular team doesn’t mean they won’t work at another.

We also have a few notable rejects that have done very well elsewhere - Suso and Gulasci spring to mind.

{Ed002's Note - And Mbappe another Chelsea reject.}

09 Jun 2021 11:26:12
I'd take Dwight Gayle. It's as clear as crystal Gayle would score goals for us.
It might even turn my brown eyes blue though.

09 Jun 2021 11:30:35
Wow, I did not know that Ed002, thank you!

Just googled and found that Chelsea weren’t sure about him as a kid following a trial in 2012 as he didn’t offer enough defensively! Wow, Mbappe and De Bruyne, butterfingers! 😂😂.

09 Jun 2021 11:41:48
LOL Rigsby. it's a stretch but a good one!

09 Jun 2021 11:52:07
Zed Luis Alberto has done fantastic for Lazio, Aspas for Celta Vigo, Coates has been brilliant for Sporting,

09 Jun 2021 11:39:29
And Salah was let go .
.

{Ed002's Note - There were good reasons for selling de Bruyne and Salah - and indeed Cuadrado.}

09 Jun 2021 12:03:21
I did not know that Ed? I’m guessing whoever made that decision has been relieved of their duties by now?

I’d rather sign Tammy than Ikone, Ikone offers almost no no goal threat and isn’t the most creative players in the world by a very long way (has never scored more than 4 goals in a season in a farmers league) and offers less than Harry Wilson, if that were remotely possible.

{Ed002's Note - As I said - there were good reasons.}

09 Jun 2021 12:12:08
Can't believe I forgot about the ultimate Chelsea reject - Salah!

I think the consensus is - judge a players fit with us based on abilities or attributes, NOT what teams they have played for in the past or why they were let go.

09 Jun 2021 12:17:30
Chelsea have to be the worst club in history for letting great players leave, an absolute shambles. On Abraham i think he's far from a Chelsea reject. I think he's been treated unfarly there were big name signings have undeservedly started ahead of him. If he had a big price tag he'd b playing. Not saying we should go for him but he is a good player.

09 Jun 2021 12:20:34
Good reasons eg poor judgement.

{Ed002's Note - No, clearly something you won't understand.}

09 Jun 2021 12:50:24
I agree with you there Jadon. Not sure he would fit at Liverpool, but he is certainly a potentially great player.

I was chatting to some Chelsea mates of mine recently and saying that the most excited they have been by a Chelsea team was during the transfer ban as they finally had a chance to see some of the great youngsters coming through. Of them, most have been sidelined by 'big fee' players, other than Mount and Reece James. I think Hudson-Odoi and Abraham would have been as good or even better for Chelsea than their big-priced replacements.

09 Jun 2021 13:05:55
I know they've just won the Champions League but I think Chelsea's recruitment strategy is really poor. They have a lot of quality players but they don't seem to have proper plans for how to use them and how they will fit into their system.

Look at Werner. He doesn't fit Chelsea's system of play at all. Havertz, a massive money buy, has been shunted about all over the place. Pulisic has been there a couple of years now and hasn't been made the most out of as he has been in and out the team.

I think Tuchel deserves all the credit he's getting and more by trying to get their best players into a system that works.

09 Jun 2021 13:13:41
The football of today is all about "what have you done for me lately? " or more precisely, the form of the moment. The Salah of Chelsea and the Salah of Liverpool are not the same players nor was the situation the same. The Coutinho of Liverpool is not the Coutinho of Barca. The best player of LFC last year, Mané, is being loudly pushed out the door, this year. It's all about the moment.

Tammy Abraham is not good enough for Liverpool.

09 Jun 2021 14:26:10
By your reasoning, ArAy, the Tammy Abraham of Liverpool may not be the Tammy Abraham of Chelsea. If Klopp and co are keen then he's good enough for me.

{Ed077's Note - but are Klopp and co actually keen on him??

09 Jun 2021 14:42:48
Is the Klopp of 2021-22 the same as the Klopp of 2019-20?

Is todays Klopp the same as yesterday's Klopp?

Am I the same as I was 5 minutes ago?

All a bit too existential for me.

09 Jun 2021 15:01:05
Has anybody actually seen this Daka play or have they just seen the YouTube video of him looking like Pele?
Because I don’t know about you lot, it was hard enough watching Liverpool games this season never mind the Austrian Bundesliga.

09 Jun 2021 15:24:27
Patson the backs for those that have bothered to watch him play.
I'll watch him if he ever plays for us though.

09 Jun 2021 15:34:05
LFC8, do you mean Pete Beardsley? If so, Patson looks nothing like him.

Nice one Rigsby, dat's daka-ind of humour I appreciate :-)

09 Jun 2021 18:15:17
IDreamofGini, we're still waiting for the name change. And what I wanted to emphasize was more, the form of the moment. I just don't think he is good enough. He was given the shot as starter ahead of a Giroud and he couldn't hold on to it. That says a lot. I do not wish to see a Tammy Abraham of Liverpool.

Zed, stick to your soliloquies on chicken and KFC. 😜.

09 Jun 2021 19:26:16
Tammy Abraham? He’s a static target man with little movement. Liverpool need mobile strikers, hence why Benteke was shown the door immediately.

09 Jun 2021 19:26:58
I understand plenty thanks.

10 Jun 2021 02:28:16
From a Chelsea supporter perspective, Tammy isn’t static but it’s mostly his decision making and finishing that seems to let him down. He gets into tap in positions, similar to werner, and misses (similar to werner) but without werners pace.

10 Jun 2021 11:49:27
Yes I do mean Tammy Abraham wherever he has played he has scored goals. and as a different option to Firmino he would be good enough think he would be a great option for us rather then Origi off the bench and when teams play low block and you need something different he'd be a great option at 23 he'd only improve.
