sorry if this has been answered, but can anyone tell me what gini is going to say about why he left, the papers seem to think he is going to drop some bombshell.
thanks.

I believe he is going to allege that Jurgen's wife rejected his advances which is why he left.

I'm not ITK though.

Honestly his repeated crying and subsequent shafting of Barcelona seems somewhat indicative of why we felt it best to part ways. He clearly thinks he is worth far more than he actually is and is acting as if contract disagreements have never happened in football before. Quite honestly i wish he’d stop whining and just move on with dignity but apparently that is too much to ask, thanks for everything Gini mate but i think we’ll be just fine without you.

How dare he "shaft" the unscrupulous Barca! i actually think it was Koeman, not Barcelona that wanted Gini all along and i doubt he'll last the summer. Maybe Barcelona wasnt an option anymore.

Bit harsh AW. I get the impression he didn't want to leave, but this is his last big contract, he deserves to maximise his income and he couldn't get that here, so he moved on. PSG are weakest in CM, it's a great move for him and them, and he served us with distinction in his time here.

11 Jun 2021 10:26:10
Ya I'm with Rugby Parker, shouldn't be a big deal about this. He was offered a contract which he didn't feel was good enough so he didn't sign and is signing a better contract elsewhere. This can happen.

I read he wanted similar wages as the likes of Salah, Van Dijk and Thiago. Considering the fact that those 3 are all arguably the the top 5 in the world in their positions, and Gini isn't in the top 50, i think he had been eating a few too many brownies from Amsterdam.

11 Jun 2021 11:10:21
I hope it's the media that's just regurgitating an older story and not something new that he's seeking out to have printed. I mean what's the point of it all? He got a 3 year contract and a much higher salary, as he wanted, so what's the point in flogging the dead horse? Let it go. Move on. His time at LFC is appreciated by most LFC fans, and will be remembered. If he's bent on revenge then the best one is winning the UCL with PSG. Get to work, bud.

Started nearly every game in a team thought of as probably the best on the planet. Probably looking at other players who are injured more than him, not able to play 3 games a week like him and thought he contributes as much as these big names Irrelevant now anyway, be interesting to see if the club would make more of an effort if it was a similarly aged Mo or Sadio, or will they just be laughed at aswell?

Some very unfortunate comments with regard to Gini. and many are untrue. Gini remains very popular amongst his former LFC teammates and the coaching/ management staff. All wanted him to stay but it wasn't in their hands.

11 Jun 2021 12:01:20
Non story. Player doesn’t sign contract and leaves. Rather he stayed and Keita left but that’s life.

11 Jun 2021 12:26:03
Its about tye closed offer given to him. There were no negotiations.

11 Jun 2021 12:37:29
Thiago in world’s top 5 of his position? Hmmm, no comment.
He clearly got the available funds on his contract that may have otherwise been allocated to Gini, but he spent about a third of last season injured and another half of it getting fit and coming to terms with his new role.
I can see why Wijnaldum was p’d off really, he played the vast majority of games over his time here and was a real part of the success.
I’m hoping that we see the best of Thiago next season but I do feel that the balance of the midfield has been adversely affected with Gini’s departure.
I’m hoping for a replacement / upgrade for him in this transfer window.

Ah stop lads, if you were approaching your last contract and another company offered you near double wages you would be nuts to turn it down.

11 Jun 2021 16:02:37
Im not bothered with what Gini has to say and I am in fact, baffled as to why anyone else would care anyway. I am sensing over the past few days, that some posters seem or think Gini was somehow hard-done by by the club and/ or Klopp for reasons that are beyond my understanding. Footie is a business. Gini wanted certain terms. We were not willing to meet them and we let him go. So he is pissed off. So what? I did not see all this stuff coddling of a player who left under the same circumstances in the past so why now? That's business as usual. Why people are making 2 and 2 equal 5 for pretty much a nothing burger, IMO beats me.

11 Jun 2021 16:16:16
There'll be no bombshell. Papers are predicting a bombshell so that we buy their papers.

11 Jun 2021 17:56:06
We’re bothered Olired because, so far, Thiago has not been worth anywhere near the top dollar he’s apparently on. And there’s a gap in the first team squad that needs filling which I don’t think can be adequately done so from within, so that’s another £30 or 40m to find?

{Ed0666's Note - Thiago has not been worth his wages? Man gets decapitated against Everton, has a long lay off, then gets covid, and then has to adapt into the team. Last few games he was majestic. He’s gonna be a baller next season and if not then slag him off mate.
