Yesterday ENG today world champions looked absolutely toothless against Hungary.

France have world class players all over the pitch and yet we're dominated by average German Side and today against Hungary looked toothless.

{Ed014's Note - especially with that utter show pony Pogba just strolling around the pitch, has to be THE most over rated modern day footballer!

Agree0 Disagree0

Frustrating thing Ed is he clearly has the talent. If he had an ounce of the work ethic of Henderson he’d be unstoppable. Never going to be one of the greats.

{Ed014's Note - absolutely mate, just allows everyone to carry him!

19 Jun 2021 16:41:42
Being harsh on pogba. He wasnt bad why not give fair assessment then just make scapegoat out of a player. Hungary played very well in the midfield and marked him out of the game. They even pressed kante out of possession so many times. Is kante overrated then. Hungary were very good they didn't let france midfielders settle on ball at all. Pogba tried quite a lot but he had no room to operate. If anyone was a passerby in the game it eas rabiot for sure he never once tried to carry the ball deep.
On a different note mbappe is just magic at times.

Spot on ED14 mate. Bledd how crazy is that we are still talking abt Pogba's talent and potential at the age of 28 lol.

{Ed014's Note - the thing is it’s not just this game, it’s the majority of them, the vast majority, don’t think I’ve seen him play in a game where I ever thought wow, this guys the business.

No one really wants him either and he’ll just likely move on a free next year after wasting another 12 months of his career.

19 Jun 2021 16:57:20
Not harsh on Pogba in the least Akita. Utd are still waiting for him to arrive 4-5 years after they paid an eye watering 90mil for him.

All the ability, but even more attitude. He’s been anonymous since his transfer to Utd and struts around the pitch like his sh@t doesn’t stink.

19 Jun 2021 17:19:48
Well talking of wasted talent I don't think we need to look any further than Neymar. Such a talent but spends half the match rolling about. He could have become so much more. I thought Pogba was good against Germany but clearly capable of a lot more. Read after the match yesterday about England's "world class players" and thinking "Kane? Who else do we have on the pitch yesterday who we can call world class? " We're truly delusional when we're talking about our chances tournament after tournament. So dull and uninspiring. Play not to lose rather than play to win. Unleash the hounds and play Grealish Foden Kane. But Grealish needs to try to do something other than looking for opportunities to go down.

19 Jun 2021 17:55:07
Crazy kop mate. Even though he plays for them lot it’s still quite sad to see that talent wasted because I’d love to see a player like that boss it. Maybe just for another club!

19 Jun 2021 22:02:44
I’m not a big Roy Keane fan but he’s always spot on with his analysis of Pogba. The truly great players show hunger, desire and work hard for the team. Moreover they do it week in and week out. Pogba is none of those things. As the the Ed points out, he’s a show pony more interested in his brand.

19 Jun 2021 23:40:07
So has no one shown interest in Pogba?

20 Jun 2021 03:14:02
i want him to waste another year and a few more as well good luck to whoever pays him and his agent. Wasteman.

{Ed0666's Note - yes he might be wasting his ability but have you ever thought he’s not happy in Manchester or playing for United? How many people perform to the best of their ability when they don’t have job satisfaction?? I know I don’t. The last thing I wanna do when I’m unhappy is perform to my best levels. Cut the guy some slack man it’s abhorrent the amount of abuse he gets. He’s a good human being does a tonne for charity and unfortunately is stuck in a situation he wants out of. It’s not his fault United agreed to most of his demands when negotiating a contract. Some of this Blame has to be attributed to woodwood and not Pogba.

20 Jun 2021 05:30:04
Ed0666 - I think your sympathy for Pogba is slightly unwarranted, I have to be honest. It’s great that he does a lot for charity and I do think some of the criticism aimed at Pogba is unfair, but beyond that his entire situation is a mess of his own making.
If he is truly unhappy at Man Utd and feels playing somewhere else would improve benefit him, do more to earn/ get a move. You say that it’s not his fault Man United agreed to his demands - he and his agent were the ones who made those demands in the first place, and he agreed to them possibly because no other club would offer them. In addition, Pogba had played for Man Utd before and knew exactly what he was signing up for.
I get your point that employees find it hard to perform when they are unhappy, but sympathy should be reserved for those miserable in their conditions with few other avenues to which they can improve. Paul Pogba is not one of them.

{Ed0666's Note - I respectfully disagree mate. He may have been happy when he signed the contract, happiness is fleeting my friend. The fact remains he wants out and it’s also common knowledge not many clubs will give him an out on his ludicrous wages. To be honest I wouldn’t move if I was in his position and I’d run my contract down. Next year someone will take a punt on him for free and he won’t have to significantly lessen his income. Coming back to United was a dumb move for all parties and with hindsight I bet either party would do it again. I like the guy personally, he’s loud, brash but is respectful and has a good soul.

20 Jun 2021 05:59:47
‘It’s not his fault United agreed to most of his demands when negotiating a contract. ’
Seriously Ed? Poor lad is unhappy because he got everything he asked for. He gets constant criticism because he’s paid a kings ransom and can’t be bothered to earn it on the pitch. He puts more effort into his haircut than his football. Plus he’s playing for his national team right now not Man U. He should be happier than a puppy on a shin bone.

{Ed0666's Note - some shin bones are not that appetizing mate. There is such an anti Pogba lobby in this country someone hands to advocate for him, does anyone no the real reasons behind his poor form or his apathy? Maybe there’s more to it. Let’s not cast aspirations before we know the truth,

20 Jun 2021 11:23:08
It’s not his fault United wasted the money on him, particularly when they knew he was prone to blowing hot and cold before. The schadenfreude for me exists in the fact that United could have properly strengthened their side with the money they wasted on Pogba on two good quality players, but let their own hubris get in the way. I would comment that I think Naby Keita has been just as much, if not a worse waste of money.

20 Jun 2021 08:14:12
Sorry Ed0666 but I completely disagree with this.

At the end of the day Pogba is a professional (key word) footballer playing at the very highest level. Whatever his personal circumstances that shouldn’t alter the effort he puts in on a football pitch. Quality of play can change dramatically but basic effort shouldn’t.

I don’t care who they are or what they get paid but if any professional doesn’t put enough effort in on a regular basis they fully deserve whatever criticism is coming their way.

{Ed0666's Note - to an extent I agree mate but the criticism has to be constructive, also you’ve got to appreciate his boss is a tactical twat of the highest order and can’t get a tune out of him so that doesn't help. I can appreciate pogbas apathy I think I’m the only one it seems. Have a splendid day mate.

20 Jun 2021 08:40:33
Well 666 am with you mate. Pogba is a scapegoat for everything. Try playing with that pressure everday in and out and knowing you won't be loved much by anyone if you get one thing wrong over 90 min. The disrespect is immense. I don't think pogba really has a shocker any game. He plays same every game. People just keep hyping up his ability and potential to levels beyond human. People want him to score 20 goals a season with 20 assists. I have not seen pogba have a shocking game. But when the whole team around him has a shocker he is made a scapegoat and its just because he was a big money move and earns a lot.
He doesn't have behaviour issue like bale. He doesn't throw tantrums. He keeps fit and is available every game. He is a good lad but he is criticized beyond ways.
If UK could criticize their elects as much as they criticize pogba it might become a good some day.

I mean for just a footballer getting that much criticism an open abuse shows how much time people in UK especially manchester have.

{Ed0666's Note - at last someone that can see this situation through my eyes. Thankyou I thought I was going crazy. Were all guilty of abusing footballers god knows I did it enough to lalanna because he had so much ability but seldom delivers and it’s more out of frustration than anything else as you want them to be the best they can be to elevate you’re club. But sometimes we don’t see the mitigation in the situation. For me he’s bored and unmotivated and I don’t care how much money you’re on if you’re feeling those feelings the only way to elevate is to move on but I’m not blaming him for staying as he’s not gonna get paid what he’s on anywhere else unless it’s a Bosnman

20 Jun 2021 09:13:03
I disagree Ed. As mentioned, we are talking about his national team performances. Is he also now unhappy there as well? I agree, abuse is never warranted, but respectful criticism is more than justified.
If an employee is unhappy in a job, they move jobs and I'm sorry, but if he is truly unhappy, mental health is more important than 'ludrucous wages'. You speak like he is some sort of political prisoner held against his will.

{Ed0666's Note - I misconstrued you’re post mate I was talking about him not wanting to be at United not playing for the national team. He’s no political prisoner yet he is an economical one. Millions of footballers would not move on the contract he’s on because we’ll let’s face it who would? In his mind he’s probably thinking only one more year of Ole to bear and then I’m done. It’s a reasonable musing given the situation

Sure Pogba was happy to go back to Utd and pretty sure he wanted to drive them on esp with the way things turned out the first time out. Things have not worked out and there is a lot of blame to go around including him and I agree he is talented BUT he just strolls all over the pitch and thus may be cos he doesn’t want to hechtere and wishes he was gone. Also, I don’t like that he seems to get the blame sometimes when Utd screw up esp with the PE teacher at the wheel. Also, I guarantee you that that farce of and interview Kane gave to Neville on Sky literally begging City to sign him, Pogba would not get away with doing that. Fact.

That said, he still does the strolling on the pitch for France, the very same team he likes to big up to the detriment of Utd so what gives then? I think it is a bit of both with Pogba, IMO.

20 Jun 2021 20:31:06
To me he’s one of those midfielders who needs two behind him to do the dirty work so he could just get on with the things he wants to do, luxury player. For France he’s lucky enough to play with Kante who is like two players for the price of one. At United he’s got McTominay and Fred, which speaks for itself.
