Hypothetical question for you all. If we could get Danny Ings back, should we? Would he improve our club?

Firmino and Ings isn’t good enough to win a league or a CL. Either would be a good backup to a top striker though.

No, we shouldn't in my opinion.

I think if he had been fit when Klopp joined he would have got games for us as he seems to be a 'Klopp player' - busy, high work rate etc.

However, he isn't as good as any of our front 3 (not quite, just that one step down) so wouldn't be a starter. At his stage of career, I think it would be better for him to be a regular at whatever club he plays at as he's unlikely to get better given he's 29 soon.

Ings is a top finisher and if we signed him without a doubt he would be the best finisher in the squad. But he would spend too much time on the bench at Liverpool but on the last 2 years form I would pick him over Firmino.

Salah 11 slightly ott but also Marty ott the other way. Firmino had one brilliant season and then 3 cheers where he has been at best poor except for the odd match here and there.
