Guys, I'm not an English fan, being Irish lol, but have to say congratulations - the English have been decent enough any match I've seen them and all are definitely playing their hearts out.

Whilst the penalty was soft hey it is what it is, don't over debate that and just take the win, like I said congratulations and good luck in the final folks.

Great performance, chuffed to bits with how the tournaments going, can't help but wonder if Pickfords lining up for a clangor though, been ok this tournament but looks to get over excited and lose concentration putting defenders on edge, Come On England.

Lancaster, he had a 'clanger' yesterday to be fair. Can't be beaten from a 25 yard free kick that's only a yard or 2 off the centre of the goal. He also keeps punching crosses he should be catching. Aside from that though, i'll admit he's had a pretty good tournament. They all have to be fair. Not an England fan, but pleased for Hendo if nothing else.

Mad how he's winning the golden glove and has only conceded one goal all tournament. Especially considering how many mistakes he has in him and how the defenders infront of him all have question marks about their qualities.

I mean fair play to England but you have to question the quality of international foodball. That back 5/ 6 line up against a prem team then I'd be confident of goals.

I'm Irish as well and I was cheering on Denmark last night but reckon England deserved to get to the final.

They've played well all tournament, tough to break down and should be an interesting final.

Fair play to Sterling as well 110 minutes played and his energy levels were still phenomenal.

Pickford is a bit short for a keeper and he’s also got short arms, so there’s always the possibility that he’ll be beaten like that (as Courtois pointed out in the past so hilariously), didn’t help that his starting position was poor and he lined the wall up badly. I think Italy will see him as one of the weak points.

I still maintain that no walls for free kicks from that distance is a better option. Gives keeper a clear sight all the way and no keeper really should be conceding from 25+ yards with clear sight unless it is a truly special strike.

VVVV hence Southgate is there to protect those weaknesses as much as he can with he's tactics the same way he has done with ENG defenders.

Pickle if I were him I'd only have 3 max in a wall from there, just cover the post, the rest of the goal I'd cover, only problem is attacking teams put there own wall up to block keepers sight, he left himself with too much to do, his starting position was not central enough, he gives me the impression though that he either hasn't got the quickest feet or he holds back on that extra step to pull out a save for the cameras, which is a dangerous game at that level and can easily get caught out, which has happened on many an occasion to him.

Very true 4V. If Italy want to beat us they should definitely target around the goal area.

The only way to improve Pickford’s “short” comings is to stick him on one of those medieval racks.
