Hehe love it so Southgate is no longer the greatest manager ever? The arrogance of the English is amazing going on about it coming home all week etc spent more time talking down egos than tactics well played by the Italians very much deserved.

Poor choice end of. You take off a Premiership and Champions League winner and leave it down to kids to take the pens. Look at Italy, their experienced defenders take penalties because they have experience and the pressure won’t get to them. But want do you expect from Sidegate.

Henderson missed his last two for england so chuffed when he came off.

But the boys who allowed a 19 year old to take one ahead of them, especially the 5th, need a word with themselves. Grealish and Sterling in particular. Even maguire took one before them!

Absoloute heartbreak for the three that missed, the wallies will come out and abuse them no doubt.

On paper, between his mentality and his technique Hendo should be a great taker. But hasn't he missed his last 3 penalties for England? Club loyalty aside, it's an understandable decision.

Main problem was the lack of an attempt to build on the 1-0 lead. England stopped playing football altogether in the second half and didn't start again until well into extra time.

Overall though, England had a good tourney and nothing to be ashamed of.

If Sterling offered to take a penalty I wouldn't let him. His technique is too inconsistent.

Experienced pen taker not to mention club captain who has lifted all the major trophies and who is cool under pressure subbed for youth who always had the potential to buckle under the weight and expectation of the country- sometimes managers just over complicate decisions. Fair play to Italy, best team of the competition and worthy winners! Bonucci and chiellini are some pro's and have unbelievable stamina.

tactics all wrong. they played not to lose instead of going for the juggular when they were on the front foot at the start. they had chances to put it away, but way too defensive. but fair play to Italy, they found a way to win.

ED014, whoever thought it was a good idea to let an 18 yr old, inexperienced kid like Saka to take the LAST pen in a EURO final shootout or whoever had the power to stop that from happening and didn't (I'm looking at you, Southgate), should be sacked this morning. That is professional malpractice and should get his/ their walking papers, ASAP.

For the record I rate Henderson our greatest ever captain. However, he's a lousy pen taker and he was lousy when he came on.
Look forward to the new season and being there when he lifts the PL and CL.
