Looking at our squad if the players are all fit we have great keepers a great defense and attack and solid defensive midfielders. I think where we are lacking is a creative midfielder. I would love to see Damsgaaud added to the squad if he were available only 20 and would be great under Klopp.

Agreed in regards the squad overall its very very good if we can keep them all fit.

Attacking creative mid would be ideal.

I don't think we need yo ho mad on signings unless we have a few leaving.

Maybe another forward that could also play attacking mid.

I would love him as well, but he is hot property right now and his club doesn't want to sell. Plus, doesn't seem to be on the midfield shortlist.

Ed666, thanks for the reminder cos for a second there, I thought our creative spark Thiago had left the club. Also OP, don’t forget our other creative sparks in Trent and Bobbie who can pick a pass. Creativity is not our issue, IMO.

If our forwards had been more clinical (a chronic problem for the past 3 yrs, not just last season) this wouldn’t not have been as a big a problem as people think. We create enuff chances to win games outright but we don’t take them. That needs to change ASAP if we want to have any chance of winning the title this season.

People have been saying this for years but we’ve scored more goals than any other team in that time. As soon as we have a game where we struggle to break down a team everyone calls for a 10 goal 10 assist centre mid when the reality is we tend to try get the ball to our forwards at the first available chance. I’m not sure anyone in our middle 3’would score a lot and I certainly don’t think Damsgaard would be suitable to play in our midfield 3. Looks a good talent though.

If that's the case I'd take shick or Tony, decent players and not to much.

{Ed0666's Note - no mate I’d get a wife forward who can interchange and play across the front 3 positions. Maybe someone who won’t want to play week in week out, can be interpreted into the team slowly without upsetting the apple cart. I like Jonathan David who would be cheap and talented.

Agree with most of the sentiments posted above. A new forward who can play down the middle is of paramount importance, not just to bang in the goals when he is in the team but also to make the other forwards raise their game, contribute some fresh ideas and unpredictability. For me Malen is the only one who seems appropriate but i guess a David or Doku perhaps could also work. Sarr and Traore seem neither good enough nor are capable of playing down the middle.

I would favor a wide forward who can play all three spots like Jota or Malen can as this gives us a lot more flexibility. An out and out striker doesn't work for us, IMO cos he would be occupying the spaces Salah and Mane run into and unable to interchange with them, which Jota and a Malen type signing can. Just my opinion.

Now as for the "wife forward" position, not sure who we can get cos it seems all the GREAT ones like Michelle Obama, Jill Biden, Blake Lively, etc have been taken, lol. Heard Melania is available tho, lol.

I think a lot of people are forgetting about Harvey Elliot. Why not use him instead of buying someone to sit on the bench?
