Ed001 I love Henderson but at 31 with 2 years left on his contract I don't see the point in giving him a new contract now. With his injuries I think we should let his contract run down and offer him one in his last year if he is still up to it his injuries might start taking its toll on him.

{Ed001's Note - he is a leader on and off the pitch and we saw last season how hard it hit us when we lost a bunch of them at once from the team. He can play almost anywhere on the pitch and be one of the best players on the pitch. You hang on to players like that until you see signs of decline, which have yet to appear.}

Give him a contract to Make sure he dies a red! The influence the lad has on players and the team is bigger Then Anyone’s I’ve ever seen for a player! Just hearing him shouting at the lads when he wasn’t playing shows his character!
Off the pitch he’s a top man too I absolutely adore and love the chap! If the world had more Jordan Henderson’s it would be a better place!
Runs his socks off covers Trent and robbo when they bomb forward keep him at all costs!

The same lads who demand or expect us to go out and spend millions on transfers, millions on wages and whatever else may be in the deals to sign unproven talent, yet then want to worry about the clubs finances when trying to keep one of the greatest leaders the club has ever had. Kopforever, as far as I’m concerned, I want us to give Salah a contract well into his 30’s. I think he’s got loads of miles in the tank and he’s just a brilliant player.

Kopforever I love salah too don’t get me wrong but he will always want bigger and better and his agent is still touting him about! I think hendo gives his agent a slap if he’s trying that! Hence the lad hendo loves the club he’s happy to stay is salah?

I'm absolutely with u 4V, Jay didn't Salah agent kept on saying we haven't offered Salah new contract couple of Months back? Think we should always keep our best players irrespective of their age.

We didn't/ don't worry when the likes of Gerrard, Hendo (injury prone), Milner (hardly plays), Carragher etc aged here why all of a sudden we have different rules for the likes of Salah?

Jay I'm absolutely sure if we offer Salah new contract then he's going to stay. He's agent couple of months back made it absolutely clear when he said it's "UP-TO" Liverpool to decide Salah's fate. If that's not enough hint for us fans then no idea what it is.

There's no guarantee buying Salah's replacement is going to work especially when we are very close winning trophies why take a risk?

Keita should be a big reminder for us not every big player is going to be a success.

Think we should renew Salah's contract, in 3-5 yrs time we should phase him out with the likes of Elliott or Buy Sm1 like jota who slowly can take Salah's place without having any pressure. That's how we've always manage our Great players but seems Salah is underated, Underappreciated and people are just happy to have new shiney toys even if we have to sacrifice our best players for that 🤦🤦.

It depends what Henderson is asking for though, surely?
A one year rolling contract may be fine but anything more, I’m not so sure.
I agree with Ed001 but, by the same token, Bob Paisley would have no qualms in letting him go. He’s starting to get injured on a regular basis now.
It does not necessarily trace, either, that Hendo can make a good coach.
That’s a different skill set altogether.
