I mean people are ready to sign bowen but hate it out here on traore and sarr.
And then they throw out stats and when some one counters stats don't matter.
Please get over the english syndrome. Bowen offers nothing over sarr and traore.
I would agree we shouldn't be signing any one of them.

Look man, Traore is an exciting player and for sure his direct play makes teams panic and creates space for others. But Bowen scored more goals in 38 games last season (8) than Traore has in 140 Premier League games (7).

I'll support who ever we sign when they pull on that shirt but the very reason sites like this exist is to debate transfers. We're all guilty of climbing onto the high horse from time to time, because none of us shy away from an honest opinion of our own.

I don't agree with people saying Traore is an awful player. He clearly isn't and his pace can take teams apart. If we signed him just to batter Man City twice a season it might arguably be worth it. Not many teams are going to come out and try and press high against us though so i have what i consider to be fair doubts about how good he would be for us. Looks like Klopp is keen though so hopefully we can celebrate me eating humble pie next May.

There’s two things that Bowen offers over Trader, He scores goals and actually sets them up.

There’s two things Bowen has over Sarr, that he’s not going to AFCON in January/ Feb, we don’t have to attempt to negotiate with an owner who is out to rinse us.

Personally I’d rather we spent whatever we have left on a top class midfielder like Saul as we’ve loads of options going forward, but a lack of quality beyond our starting three midfielders.

Ed0666, I’d see Sarr as a possible replacement for Mane, but as back up, it makes no sense as he’s going to be away at the AFCON at the same time as Mane and certainly he’s no replacement for Salah as he doesn’t look like he’s got 20+ goals in him.

Players that go only miss 2 or possibly 3 league games while participating in the AFCON. I also believe with better players around him he would become better and improve his goal ratio and chances he creates. Can play across the front line and has pace to burn.

Personally, I would take Sarr over Traore and Bowen any day. Trailer is pure dross with Usain Bolt type speed. All the massaging of his stats and ability will not change what many of our eyes are seeing and have been seeing.

As for Bowen, same applies. The kid isn’t good enuff for us and don’t care about his stats either. I trust what I see and there ain’t that much there, IMO. I would rather give Taki his opportunities, keep the 35m we would be overpaying for him with and get Sarr or even the brilliant Raphinha, as someone said already. Just my opinion.

Ed0666, my only reservation is having three forwards away at the AFCON. But, you do make a reasonable point that he does create chances, he does score goals, he’s got pace to burn, he’s a big physically imposing lad who clearly is on an upward trajectory, I’ve only read positive things about how he conducts himself and he’s very well liked at Watford, if only we’d not p. ed their owner off….

Hopefully there’s not to much bad blood there and we can tease Rudy a deal for sarr as I think the lads got something about him. Like you ideally I’d like bissouma and Raphina. Bissouma and sarr wouldn’t be shabby but bissouma and Bowen isn’t exactly the booby prize. The common denominator is bissouma!!!
