Interested to know what people's expectations are for Liverpool this season, considering recent signings, and our injured players coming back to full health.
Do people expect a title challenge this year?
Perhaps a trophy too?
Or, will we be in for a battle to compete for the top 4 spots?

{Ed0666's Note - I think we’ll get to the quarter finals of the caraboa cup then get knocked out by Wycombe Wanderers. We’ll be in a race for 10th place in the league with Everton and Arsenal. And won’t get out of the group stages of the champions league.

We need to put Chelsea to sword tomorrow and build our momentum from their. It's very important for our players, Staff to have their invisibility back ASAP.

You’ve always got to reach for the stars and the fact so many of our players have signed new contracts and with Klopp in charge the aim will be to win the league and CL. Whether we do though will be another story. If we perform to our potential and avoid injuries to key players then we can def challenge for either or both. I think this season though will be the hardest ever premier league to win competitive wise.

Back to back seasons trophyless is unacceptable. We need a crack at the cups and a good run in Europe but they depend on who we draw so i don’t think you can set a minimum target. I love Klopp but you can’t come out in press conferences asking for names of players who’d improve us then not be right up there for the title. I can’t see it myself though unless we pull something big off in the next few days.

Fit squad? Realistic injuries that most always get? Ox, Taki and Keita stretch their usual preseason for the actual season? Then 1st or 2nd. FA Cup as we have 2 quality players for every position if the above requirements are met. CL semis. Final IF PSG and Chelsea get knocked out before semis.

We have done well the last couple of games but it was against Norwich city and Burnley, not exactly footballing heavyweights. Chelsea will be a very good indicator as to whether or not we can mix it with the big boys, as all the big teams have strengthened, whereas for us, it seems we are going to rely heavily on our existing squad.

We have one of the best goalkeepers in the world, the best centerback in the world, one of the best young centerback in the world, the best left back in the world, the best righ back in the world, the best defensive middlefielder in the world, one of the best creative middlefielder in the world, the best captain of the league, one of the best left wing forward in the world, one of the best right wing forward in the world, one of the best false 9 in the world and we have a very good squad to fill in the needs during the season.
I think we have enough to compete for the premier league title and at least go beyond quarter finals of the champions league and challenge for a place in the final.
You need more faith in this team. They never failed us.

We will be there or there abouts in the league.
We will be there or there abouts in the champions league.
We will get knocked out early in the domestic cups.
I think we will need a little bit of luck regarding injuries though, hopefully the nightmare is over, if it is then we will do well this season.

Expectations by the fans and players will be that we compete and win the PL or CL. If we fail and only come 4th or 5th and struggle in CL, will the fans and players regret that the club didn’t invest more in the squad. Expecting the first 11 which are equal or better than our rivals to play all 38 PL, all 13 CL plus cups, plus fly all over the world to play for their national side and be as competitive in game one as game 55?
Investment in additional players is just risk mitigation against injuries, C.V., loss of form, competition for places and complacency. Why are we not doing something in the market or are we just like Newcastle, where the fans are just taken for granted by the owners.

We will win the first 7 games building up a 5 point lead that will turn in to 7 points by the turn of the year. We will put our second string out in the egg cup as always but get to the quarters of the FA cup. We will reach the semis of the Cl and win the PL by 4 points.

I expect us to give the CL and PL a right go. We have been written off even by our own fans (tragic but it is what it is) which is the way many of us like it. I’m excited. Bring on Chelsea.
