I think it’s ok for people to voice their displeasure at yet another transfer window in which we’ve made relatively small steps compared to our rivals. We’ve added one or two transfers periodically but do not seem to be really strengthening as much as we can/ should. I’m not saying sign loads more players but either another forward of first team quality or a midfielder of first team quality would really add depth to us. Right now if say Salah gets a serious injury we will struggle badly to replace his goals. Similarly if Henderson or Fabinho get injured for an extended period our midfield will start to look very light weight. We had a tough season last season due to injuries, and if luck isn’t with us, it could easily happen again. I’m still holding out hope but right now it seems we’re settling with what we have and, truth be told, I don’t think it’s enough to win the league unless we are supremely lucky with regards to injuries.

Chelsea had Lampard last season. One or two injuries for Chelsea and they still walk into the CL very easily. Chelsea squad unfortunately is better than ours.
