Question for any medical guys on the site. I remember Bryan Robson having regular issues with a dislocated shoulder. Is it likely Harvey may struggle in the future due to his ankle being weakened. I think Robbo was out often for 6 weeks with a shoulder injury and clearly a weakened ankle is going to get a lot more stress playing football than a shoulder?

It is commonplace on a shoulder for a dislocation to be recurrent but unlikely on an ankle.
It is possible he will have weakness with muscles and tendons around there (particularly peroneal, my wife tells me) and consequently have recurring ankle injuries.
After his surgery, the medical team will probably focus on strengthening the muscle in the ankle. HE has youth on his side, his body is still developing and it is likely he will completely mend given the right care.

Dislocated my shoulder when I was a kid, swam for the county, played numerous sports and never had a problem with it.

It’s likely he won’t be rushed back so he can focus on his rehab and making sure the ankle is as strong as it can be.
He’s not a Salah or a VVD and integral to the team so no need to rush him.

The shoulder joint is very mobile as well, which increases injury risk. The ankle is designed to take the impact of running. Obviously there is always a risk of re-injury but I'm sure Harvey will be fine.

Yeah I dislocated my shoulder nearly 2 years ago and I’m still suffering daily with all the little niggly issues that have come with it, tendinitis and frozen shoulder 😬.

Mikey my mrs suffers with frozen shoulder. But it’s probably because her hands always so far in the fridge the greedy b##ch 😂.
