Does he honestly think that refs all said " best not give United any more penalties, it might make Klopp unhappy". United aren't getting as many penalties as VAR is in place and refs are getting wise to certain players flopping like a fish and bellowing out loud every time they are brush past.

Guys, come on. The guy is losing it and the fact that he said this in public is telling. Ole has exposed himself as a manager under immense pressure. He may think he is trying to score some cheap points withete fan base by going after Klopp but anyone with any sense ain’t buying it. He is rattled and it’s showing. Long may it continue.

It’s all part of the mind games and is fair game. In January this year JK is reported to have said something like United had been awarded more penalties in 2 years than his team had been awarded in 5 and a half years. He never actually said United didn’t deserve the penalties which makes Ole’s rant even more amusing.

To be honest, I love it when opposition managers do it - it shows they are under pressure and / or are worried about us which is fine by me. Best thing in this situation is not to respond directly, it will just ratchet up the stress a bit more 👍.

Back then, Ferguson was known to storm in to the officials office ( after the match ) if he wasn’t happy with the decisions given, or not given - also making it known that he didn’t want a ref to officiate his games, again, if he wasn’t happy with the way they performed . Got away with not having to be interviewed by the BBC for 7 years just because he wasn’t happy with a tv documentary, the list goes on

To be fair Ole is a fair bit less intimidating than his idol. Ferguson was the real deal, Ole is about as intimidating as a thing that isn’t intimidating.
