If we don't step it up we could get pasted by City, arguably they won't hoof the ball into the box. Which apperently we have no concept over how to deal with
so disappointing after the other results today.

{Ed077's Note - Brentford did "hoof" the ball into the box though, did they? Liverpool supporters of all should be familiar with the concept of choosing the ball into the box, seeing that they have 2 of the best in the game in the form of their FBs

What I don't understand about our constant complaining about teams playing long balls yet that is our go to game plan when teams sit back and defend against us. We actually play a lot of long balls. We have struggled against long balls for 3 seasons now. Nothing has improved regarding our defending against teams that go long against us.

Yeah? that's why I said they hoofed the ball into the box! It was well done and we had no ability to sort out marking, why Trent was marking 3 Brentford players is beyond me. I'm not saying they were incorrect to do so, since tehy got a point. But i wouldn't think City will play that same strategy, hence maybe we can defend slightly better.

there is a big difference between smacking a long ball up to the head of a striker and playing for 50/ 50s, versus putting in crosses or long through balls.

well done to brentford tho, they got a good result for them.

They weren't 2 of the best full backs today Ed077 neither could cross a decent ball and don't get me started on their defending or lack of it, trent seems to think he has a free roll at times and for all his attacking powers he is our weak link defensively.
