I had to stop looking on here. Some of the negative stuff being spouted was completely ridiculous.

Wait until we lose a game.

I believe we are the only team to score three against Atletico in a European tie under Simeone on there own patch, absolute great win last night no wonder he was so devastated.

It is crazy, @Jadon Havertz. I think I even read - Naby being called dirt. I mean I admit he was poor defensively. But then it is just football and I think a good few were poor defensively. And also, we won!

Were we really that poor defensively? Yes, Keira could have been stronger in the challenge. However, he does that and mistimes both challenges we are down to 10 men because, as was in evidence yesterday, they fall down like extras in Platoon!
Yes, Van Dijk got pulled around and out of position but he was up against Griezemann and his hornets. Going forward their movement is incredible and makes mistakes unavoidable.
Trent v Carrasco was a stern test for TAA. Carrasco’s energy levels were off the chart and he exploited the gap every time, hence the introduction of Gomez.
Robbo is sun-par but his par is 8 out of 10. Maybe he does need a rest or maybe he is trying too hard because Tsimikas is that good?
Fabinho should have started. Mane got booted all over the pitch. Bobby’s touch was heavy all night. Salah got handled and still scored twice.
Tough, extremely tough, place to visit. Partisan crowd, crazy manager and skilful, dangerous players. We broke records last night, just bear that in mind. There is always a right to criticise but it needs to be tempered with a touch of realism.
You do not just rock up to the Wanda Metropolitano and walk away without knowing you have been in a battle. Even 2-0 up I knew they were going to hit us hard. And they did.
Anfield is going to be electric in two weeks time!

I’m one of Naby’s biggest critics, but I’ll say this, in his defence he played 3 games in 6 days for Guinea, he’s only just back from an injury and he scored a tremendous goal. Yeah he probably could have done better on the goals, but equally there were others who made mistakes that led to the goals.

{Ed0666's Note - 4 games in 10 days I think? He’s not very good in the first place and when you add tiredness into the mix it’s a wonder he scored that goal. I’d be flabbergasted if he starts on Sunday.

Ed the truth is still that if he wasn’t on the pitch we’d not have been 2-0 up. So I’m giving the guy some slack, yeah I’d have preferred we sold him and replaced him in the last window but it didn’t happen, so the best thing to do is support him. I figure he deserves that as a minimum.

{Ed0666's Note - you never know what would have happened had Keita not been on the pitch? We may have won 5-0 with his replacement scoring all 5 or his replacement could have had a stinker. I was actually trying to commend him for playing because of all the game time and travel he’s put in the last 10 days that’s why I said I’d be flabbergasted if he plays on Sunday. I fully expect a Hendo, Fab, Jones midfield. At least Keita has put his injury troubles are behind him it seems which bodes well as we need bodies if where gonna seriously challenge chelsea & city.

The best part was on the live chat last night. Keita was responsible for every mistake and goal, until he went off, then it quickly turned to Milner, Trent, Hendo. 🙄.
