Not sure which Ed would be best to answer this but regarding our last 2 champions league games are we able to just test the majority of our players or is there a rule stating that we must play a team of players that have already played in the competition for us this or something.

If we lose both games and give up 6 points to Porto it could be the difference between them or Atleti progressing. Either way, to be sure of avoiding being criticised we have to aim to win both games.

I say give some of the young kids a shot and a run out against good competition. We need to know who is ready to step up, especially with a crucial Jan-Feb period coming. More than anything, make sure Origi and Minamino are pushed into good form by getting game time whenever possible. It's going to be a very tight May.

Gordon wasn’t in the nominated squad prior to the competition started so he won’t be playing.

Interesting point that JK made after we qualified - along the lines of the bonus money for winning group games has to be taken into account. It was more interesting that he was immediately aware of it rather than he was actually committed to doing anything about it.

{Ed0666's Note - he also said he doesn't want to disappoint and disrespect the thousands of traveling fans by putting out a weakened to watch their heroes play. I think we’ll probably see the likes of Milner, Konate, keita, minamino, origi, Williams etc be playing tho.

Agree JK23 but I think Klopp has all his synapses wired correctly and any cash gained might influence the approval of buying a player (or two - dare to dream) in the January window) .
