I'm one of Klopps biggest fans and I know we may well win tonight but I don't get the team selection. We have players returning from C.V. soon and players leaving for AFCON so can be used. It will be super hard to win the league and/ or CL this season so I'd liked us to have included one or two more starting eleven players tonight.

Fingers crossed our team can somehow pull off a miracle. Come on you red men!

Leicester won the fa cup last season and we won nothing, yet they’re the ones taking it more seriously. I don’t get it. Going to need a few big performances.

Why risk our best players for a competition that realistically has little monetary value? We don’t have the resources that City or Chelsea do, so we should rest our best players in these games.

Couldn’t care less about the money. Care about the trophies. We had the most league cups. City have caught up, good chance to go back ahead. If it wasn’t for the league cup we’d have been trophyless for 13 years. No position to be turning our noses up.

We play two games in 55 hours next week. The selected team isn’t just based on a one off match tonight. I’m sure Klopp would do things differently if he could and if the schedule, particularly with players unavailable with C.V., wasn’t so insane.

WDW I’m not sure it’s about the lads health mate. After all Henderson is starting tonight. Long before the C.V. or Jabs we’ve been fielding weakened teams in the Cup comps.
This isn’t me criticising Klopp as it is what it is. But let’s just call a spade a spade.

Exactly WDW. A lot of games in a short space means some compromise. The players need time to recover and the sensible thing is to sacrifice a game that in the bigger picture ain’t that important and it gives valuable competitive football to the younger lads with no pressure.

One or two extra players I suggested and just read my posts over last ten years you’ll see I have always been the most positive person into this site except maybe Salah. If you play a team line this you have to give them a chance otherwise it won’t help anyone’s development and one of those games is at home to Leeds who are in free fall so you cannot say we can’t afford to pay one of salah or mane.

Facts are Klopp doesn’t care about this competition and that’s the end of it.

It was a bad tackle Ed, more an orange. Morten does tackle like that too much. Gerrard used to do it in his early days. Minamino is not good enough and unfortunately neither are some of the kids, yet.

I’m sorry Minamino is not good enough? I’ve read this on more than a few occasions and simply don’t understand it. Ideal versatile squad player who I think can push for a starting a spot. Literally don’t understand the logic people must play too much computer games.
