Ed014 mate you must be absolutely gutted?

{Ed014's Note - not happy at all mate but on the plus side if we continue playing like that for the rest of the season I’ll be happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will you ed014? 11 red cards under Arteta. 0 discipline. Even with a terrible ref you were clattering city and could’ve gotten right back in the lead with 11. I’m sure half of those reds were from Xhaka (a vice captain? ) and some from Gabriel. Just pure naivety.

I can’t believe I led myself to believe Arsenal were going to win that game honestly. Literally 0 reason to get sent off that game. 0.

{Ed014's Note - I will be Tj as it’s a better performance by a mile but we 100% need to sort the discipline out. It was naivety in the extreme.

Xhaka is a nightmare for getting caught out and with 11 on the pitch I thought we’d win and even with 10 I did.

Not if your playing against the refs as well mate.

Leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
I can take losing when the opposition are better but that was very poor from the officials and Gabriel has to take some blame.

Hard to win a match when you’re up against 12 men Ed014. That was as bad a ref and VAR performance as I’ve seen this season and there’s been some shockers.

{Ed014's Note - it was mate, so fecking annoying after the way we played!

Is ederson exempt from giving away fouls, that's 2 over the Xmas period🤬.

{Ed014's Note - seems so mate

Crazy Ed, yours was as blatant a penalty as you'd see and there's was yet another 'dodgy' one. Swear the officiating is ridiculous for everyone, well apart from the Manchester clubs lol, it's gone so far beyond the odd wrong decision you'd see that would 'even itself up' over a season

VAR just has no place in its current set up and, like me, more and more people are fed up with the 'excuses' given defending what everyone can see was a bad call

I swear I don't get it, and it just irritates me and takes my love away from the game.

{Ed014's Note - I think that decision last week that Jota had stopped so it wasn’t a penalty finished me with VAR that was the most pathetic excuse ever!

to me that was a clear penalty on Ederson. I thought it was more of a penalty than the one given for City. Yes, Xaka held on to his shirt, but Silva was falling down the whole time.

It gets to the point where football is that little less enjoyable. I hate losing but if it’s fair losing- well, that’s fair enough. I just think it’s strange how many “disputable decisions” have occurred recently.

I might get some smoke for this BUT I think the ref was right not to give the Arsenal pen cos I don’t think there was enuff vid evidence to overturn the call on the pitch. They check the replay 5 times from diff angles and if you are checking that long and can’t find enuff evidence to overturn, the ruling on the field should stand, IMO.

The sending off was also the right decision and well Xhaka did a Xhaka so not surprised there. For me, Martinelli scores that sitter and Arsenal prolly win. Arsenal were by far the better team and City deserved nothing for the shambolic perf they put in BUT there you go.
