Sorry Ed0666 but I disagree. Not sure what games you have been watching but jota isn’t as bad as you are making him out to be. He does have off days, like all players, but he dangerous in the box and in the air, and as he’s still young, he’s got plenty of time to get better. However all the other players you have mentioned need to be sold.

{Ed0666's Note - he was woefully inconsistent at wolves and is continuing the pattern at Liverpool. Apart from score some goals what does he do that’s positive and benefits the team? He can’t pass a football he makes dumb decisions yes he can head a ball so that’s ok then. I’d ship him out in the summer.

I think Jota has been brilliant since he signed, a real instinctive finisher who's popped up with a lot of important goals where Bobby would have flapped.

I agree to an extent he is certainly no Mane or Salah when they first arrived. The squad has more questions than answers atm.

Have to agree with Ed here. His build up play and passing have been really poor and this part of his game doesn't seem to be developing.

His scoring stats are great so far, but playing with mane and salah most players scoring stats in that position would be impressive. He's a squad player I think and would love us to sign someone to properly replace Bobby in the summer. Big, big fan of Bobby BTW I just think he's not getting any younger.

Jota hasn't been brilliant. He can finish but he needs to be more involved and link up the play much better. He can get away with it when we are flying but we are not, at the moment. Two out of the front three have not performed for a while now.
That said, the alternatives have hardly been banging down the door for a starting role.
We are currently relying too much on Salah up top.

Jota is better than Bobby now. Miles ahead.
Firmino doesn’t link up, can’t control the ball, never scores, and he’s rarely available wether he’s injured or corona. He’s just never there. At least Diogo is always available and scores goals.

Scoring goals aren’t our problem, it’s lack of control in games, the midfield, the lack of press and the high defensive line without all that. The first half was the same as the Spurs game, only a matter of time before they scored and was like a basketball game. We have regressed to where we were couple of seasons after Klopp took over. We need to change tactics or sign new players.

Personally I really like jota, different from the rest. His link up play is poor definitely but in box he v sharp and constant. Even when he poor like yesterday he could pull out that screamer of a volley which mendy produced great save from. But game of opinions! Ed666 if we sold all the players you mentioned how do. we replace them? squad quality not top level as it is.

Thanks for response ed666. Do u know of any more academy players that capable of going into 1st team? Morton looks v good but needs to fill out. bradley bit to do yet. None of attacking players that I've seen in academy look ready but I don't see that much of them.
