If and I mean if both Phillips and Origi leave this month I would assume an attacking player would arrive.
Today we've been linked with Gabriel Barbosa of Fluminese. If I remember right he played against us in world club cup final.
Really impressive goal record as well. Could be a good buy and still only 25.
Yesterday we were linked Randal Munai of Nantes (I think) . Seems to be a french youngster with a lot of raw talent and his contact runs out in the summer. So a nominal fee could be possible.
Finally there is Dembele of Barcelona, well known his contract expires in January and there could be a deal struck this month.
I think I would be happy with any of these to be honest.

Barbosa flopped massively at Inter, was a bit of a knob by all accounts.
Randal is an absolute unknown quantity.
Dembele is an over rated sick note who isn’t capable of playing in a competitive league, he comes with more baggage than all of the terminals at Heathrow and would be a huge waste of money.

Yes aware he has issues but Koop likes him and he could be available to him finally. Munai I agree unknown quantity but young enough to develop under Juergen. As for Barbosa yes he did struggle doesn’t mean he couldn’t work at us though.
I think all of them are viable and attainable for different reasons.

Dembele would be a dreadful signing. He’s barely played half a season since he joined Barcelona as he’s so brittle he falls apart if ties his laces up, add to that a stinking attitude and we’d be throwing away money hand over fist, Barbosa is a bit of an arse in the Neymar/ Edmundo mould and best avoided. I’ve no comments on the French lad at Nantes.

for all of those guys I always prefer to consider their skillset and what they can do, how Klopp can bring out the best in their strengths etc. other stuff like whether they'll get stuck in etc is really up to Klopp and co to assess prior to signing so will trust them on that part.

Gotta admit I’d stilll take Dembele if possible, I think Klopp can bring best out of him. Randal Munai would be a great free in the summer as well or nominal fee in January.

Media reporting Dembele wants 750k a week and he’s started something like 3 games this season and made 2 sub appearances.
One of our biggest qualities under Klopp seems to be team cohesion and everyone’s feet are grounded. Prime example is Mane is around our 8th highest paid players currently an has been for a number of years. Yes his form might not be world class at the mo but on the CL and PL winning seasons there was argument there that at times he was our best player. Yet he doesn’t seem bothered that players who hardly start are ahead of him on the pay scale.

The reports of €800’000 a week demand have been reported from some reputable sources, so there’s definitely something in it. Imagine saying to someone like Salah, a diligent, hard working, dedicated professional, that the club won’t entertain your wage demands (after everything he’s done for the club), but would entertain those kinds of demands for a waster like Dembele? That would be a slap in the face to him and to us as supporters. Dembele isn’t fit to wear the shirt, he’s in that Pogba/ Martial bracket of footballers who think that they’re the greatest ever, when quite frankly they’re nowhere near that and never will be.
