Serious point - no team should ever score against you ever again from either a free kick or a corner. Get one of your players to run in to a defender and fall to the floor. This will now always be called a foul and any goal disallowed by var after last night.

If I was a coach I'd now train my players to do it. This is the way - apparently.

What a lot of nonsense.

Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but I thought the goal was ruled out not for the foul but for a offside. Namely the attacking villa defender was stood in an offside position and then interfered with cavani as he ran back to try and play the ball.

The question then is if Oliver is asked to go look at it then it’s a subjective decision and was it really clear and obvious. I don’t think it was .

It was less an infringement than the Bowen incident at the weekend put it that way.

VAR consistency at its finest.

Nobody seems to know what it was disallowed for.

BBC reported it was for both offside and impeding a defender.

Yeah it's whether he is offside, seemed so. And then did he impede the defender, which they seem think he did.

He was offside and he did impede Cavani which he didn't need to do as Cavani wasn't getting to it.

It was ruled out by VAR because it was against Utd at Old Trafford…. simple!

they did seem to want to find a reason to disallow it. very strange but i would rather play UTD in the future rounds than Villa who seem to be improving.

I was under the understanding it was for the block on cavani. which agreed with original post. is a scam.
