Hi Eds and Reds, have you all read this while issue about us being investigated because of the false positives issue before the Arsenal game? I am trying to wrap my head around all these but seemed to be a non-issue in that prior to the game, the club had X amount of players who tested positive, which a few days after turned out negative. So what’s the fuss?

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe its the timing Azk, Positive Lateral Flow, club gets the players to take a PCR two days for results to come in negative. another lateral flow to confirm the negative was the timings all before the Arsenal game could we have played is the question its a bit up in the air.

But as of last Tuesday the club had a number of 'positive' test results. So we could either carry on and hope they were false positives or do what the club felt was responsible which is take the cautious approach to allow the authorities and fans enough time to plan and rearrange their trips.

Obviously it looks like we may have been able to put out a squad if they returned false positives but hindsight is a wonderful thing and I'll be amazed if the club orchestrated all this just to get a game called off.

One of which that loses home advantage in the second leg.

Apparently Klopp and the team were partying with Boris at No10 during lockdown.

Boris was giving JK bear hugs all night, allegedly 🤫.

If Arnold was the only player that actually tested positive then I see no actual reason or benefit to Liverpool wanting the game called off. They more than most certainly wouldn't want fixture congestion.

“Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more” eh?

If it is any other club doing the same thing - particularly clubs seen as rivals we would be asking the same questions about them on this very page.

If Liverpool did nothing wrong : were transparent and requested a postponement based on solid factual evidence at the time of the request then all is well and there is nothing to see here ……….

The reeks of a linesman wisely raising his flag for offside after letting play carry on until the striker sends their shot into the stands. hindsight is 20/ 20.

If they want to examine our case. well I hope they do all the others too. Leicester, man u and so on.
As for city last season, having a laugh 😃.

I know what you are saying @Faith, but you only have to look at this site to know hindsight isn’t always 20 / 20 😁😁😉.

WDW - haha well we can all be experts lol nah I was meaning the EFL or whoever was contemplating investigating us. I don't know exactly what the rule is but it seems that clubs can make their own call with false positives? In any case, it would seem reasonable to be more cautious in that situation, so for people to come out later and criticize Klopp and co when the eventual results came back negative is poor form imo. sounds to me like the club took the correct precautionary steps to prevent a more serious breakout in the club.

{Ed025's Note - really faith?..

12 Jan 2022 10:21:02
Something confusing 25?

{Ed025's Note - yeah faith your manager and our prime minister seem to think we are all idiots mate..

12 Jan 2022 12:36:34
Shouldn't be any matches off, think out of all these positive cases, only 1 or 2 have actually suffered.

12 Jan 2022 21:51:34
Hahahahaha I don't want to get into the politics of it mate lol we're doing just fine over here in NZ 👌.

{Ed025's Note - good to hear that faith mate.. :)
