So score predictions for the Brentford game. I have a feeling one half of the equation will be Liverpool 0 .

Agree0 Disagree0

Don’t care what the score is as long as we get the 3 points. Anything less and I think the title race is over in January. Win our 2 games in hand and it’s a little bit of pressure on City. We literally have to win a minimum of 16 of our last 18 league games I believe.

Title race is all but mathematically done and bar City completely capitulated I don't think 16 out of 18 will suffice. But your right any sort of win is essential.

The title race is already over JK23.

We won't win tomorrow and the race is over even if we do so who cares? . It's impossible to win a title not spending money (unless you are Leicester) City prove that and Chelsea, Man-u prove that years gone by. even we proved that when we spent 150 mil on 2 players! Ps. I'd take couts back in a heart beat. shame!

Winning our next two games without Salah and Mane and a midfield that is best described as “stodgy and lacking ideas” is about as difficult as it gets. Any thing less than two wins and the title race is over as City never capitulate from this point.

I have to say, I'm concerned for tomorrow's game. It has all the recipe of last January when the team couldn't win an argument. I'm with JK, I will take any kind of win, just to try and scrape thru January still intact.

If only Salah and Mane did something vs leicester.

@Irish Rover: relax City have won the league - all the pressure has gone. We cam sit back and enjoy the remaining matches and just enjoy how we play.

Simply by Klopps team selection v Arsenal he knows league has gone. Target now is any silverware and top four I’d suggest this season then see what miracles happen in the summer as we and other teams will need a few to stop city anytime soon.

WDW, when you say “enjoy how we play” I hope that doesn’t include the insipid performance in midweek as there was nothing to enjoy there.

16 Jan 2022 14:21:15
If you get no enjoyment out of something why bother with it?
Genuine question.

@VVVV, you need to get out more mate - the reason I have been watching for 50 odd years is because I love the game. I keep watching because I enjoy it. If I didn’t enjoy it I wouldn’t be on thi sire because I wouldn’t have anything to do sith the game.

Did you enjoy anything at all about the match against Brentford or were you too busy trying to find fault with everything that happened?

We are in the middle of January, we are second in the league and we are still alive in all three cup competitions and all you can talk about is the lack of quality in the squad, the poor performance of the management, the failure to be able to spend and the decline of the club in the next two or three years.

Of course you are perfectly entitled to your opinion and views but I honestly prefer those of people who appreciate how fortunate we are to be in the position we are in, who can appreciate context.

Spot on, WDW. In the words of the great philosopher Jurgen Norbert Klopp, “If you are only happy when you are champion then, that is a sad life”. This statement has stuck with me since the first time I read it. If you can’t enjoy the game then, what do you do it for?

Really people say they have been supporting the club for x amount of years BUT they are so negative to the point that I really would like to ask them, “Who do you love? ” and “Why do you watch the team play anyway if it’s just to bash them cos they didn’t do what you wanted or didn’t get the result you wanted”? It’s really baffling.
