Good morning eds

With Barcelona now wanting to move Dembele on in the January window, could you see Liverpool making a move for him, as I know Klopp is a long time admirer.

Thanks.

We are getting desperate now!
Can picture him naby and Thiago playing poker in the canteen as the usuals train hard!

If he signs i'll fully support him but it would be a mental decision. It says it all that i don't even need to explain why.

In fairness Jay, he’d turn up late and miss the card game.

Jay dub red: why Thiago? do you think he's unprofessional like Dembele? Last I heard he has just picked up a few niggling injuries not his fault lad.

Thiago has been very unlucky for us. He's had C.V. twice and got knee-capped by Richarlison.

Otherwise he would have played a lot more games. When he does play, we win a lot more often than when he doesn't.

{Ed077's Note - but he did have a tendency to pick up injuries and miss a good few games before joining Liverpool too. His availability issues didnt just come out of nowhere all of a sudden at LFC}

They spent 145 Million on him, and the guy has been nothing but a sick note and throwing attitude all the time. No doubt being shown the door will hardly faze him. These type of guys learn only the hard way. When it's all gone and it's too late to fix it.

He's hardly played since joining Barcelona and when he has he's hardly ripped up any trees, so i can totally understand where he's coming from by asking for a huge pay increase.

Perhaps he has the same adviser that the UK Government use. That would explain a few things.

Thiago is more out then in lads! Always injured was like that before he joined! Great player amd has it in the locker but a bit part player like naby.

Thiago actually played more league games than Hendo did last season. I get the frustration though with the amount of games he misses. I think he's a top quality player and i'd love to see far more of him but perhaps the intensity and physicality of this league is a bridge too far for him.

The one thing I’d say in defence of Thiago is that having him around the likes of Elliott and Jones is good for their development as you can’t help but pick up things from a world class class player like him.

@MK Scouser my first job was down in the ‘sandcastle’ building over the road from the Pier Head. It was the late 70’s and I had a boss who was (with hindsight) pretty savvy although at the time he just seemed like a pain. There was one particular thing he said one day about a lad who wasn’t doing his job properly and was blaming everything but himself. The boss said “nobody is unlucky all the time”. Just saying.

You're correct Ed077, but if you check his record, he has played 30-42 games every season since about 2015. He'll most likely do 30 again this season. With his ability, i'd rather have him for 30 games a year than sell him for a pittance. That's the difference between him and Keita/ Dembele. He does actually put runs of games together, his attitude is impeccable, and he's genuinely world class.

{Ed077's Note - Thiago is a very good player when fit and firing no doubt. But his fitness/availability has always been an issue. A class player when on it for sure MK.
