They call it as the new #NTF, Naby, Thiago and Fabinho.

Quite amazing considering I've seen claims on here that all 3 need replacing since the start of the season.

True Flash. Also the squad isn't good enough to challenge for any honours.

Also harry is happy to be back on the Liverpool bandwagon now that we are doing well again.

Spot on OMM. I remember before Christmas some were claiming the squad was being wound down for the inevitable slide into obscurity because FSG didn't buy the latest flavour of the month that they were drooling over. We didn't have a midfield worth a damn, Mane and Firmino were too old and finished and Salah was definitely leaving. In short, the squad needed a major overhaul.
FSG out and all that.
It's strangely gone all quiet on that particular front.

That's actually worrying. Usually he disappears when we're doing very well. And shows up only when we draw or lose. For obvious reasons- must be torturous to praise the team.

I wonder if Harry still thinks we aren’t a pressing side after yesterday?

In his words, it’s so obvious that ‘you don’t need a badge’ to see it.

I’d say Harry is running alongside the wagon chucking the odd rock or two every now and again 😁

Hands up on my part - I though Thiago was going to be an expensive mistake who couldn’t stay fit enough to play two games in a row. I was just plain wrong - the bloke is an excellent footballer with bags of skill, an eye for a pass and not afraid to get stuck in and win the ball back.

Oye, Oye, Oye, Oye 😀😀. So much love for me over here. Let me have my misus to see it then 😆😆.

Can you repeat in English please Harry?! Lol.

I’ve been very critical of Thiago mainly because he is so talented but seems like a big time Charlie with his stupid flicks and tricks inside his own half.
Saturday was more like the Thiago I wanted went we signed him. Work ethic, playing as part of the midfield rather than on his own and with bags of quality on the ball in the right areas.
Hopefully the penny has dropped.

I don’t think that makes him a Big Time Charlie, that’s literally what we bought him for. He has more quality on the ball than almost any player i’ve ever seen play for Liverpool, we bought him specifically to take risks with the ball and help us play our way through good teams in ways that no other footballer on the planet can do. We didn’t buy him so he could play it safe like everyone else. Plus everyone makes mistakes and aside from the odd stray backpass i’ve never seen him do anything close to Pogba’s levels of messing around with the ball in his own half.

FSGs greatest trick has been signing one player that transformed us a squad with no depth and can't compete into a club with the best depth in the world
Lol.

Beckers, glad you came to your senses. The fact that you thought Thiago was a big time Charlie with tricks and flicks, is quite unfortunate cos TA is one of the most humble guys you will ever meet.

As for his tricks and flicks, that is literally the way he plays and has always played. When he left Bayern, his team mates reportedly said that with him, Liverpool will win everything. That is how high they rate him and clearly Klopp did cos he signed him to do exactly what we have been seeing him do. I’m not surprised at what he is doing. It’s just a shame that he got the slander he got rather than the benefit of the doubt.

So now, it begs the question: is this current trio better than the previous trio of Fabinho, Wijnaldum and Henderson?

I think the current trio of Fabinho, Thiago and Keita is more technical, and plays a better and more expansive, offensive game. Sometimes it feels like the team is playing with one 1 DM and 2 AMs. Whereas the previous trio played a more defensive, control and possession based game. We used to moan, without end, about the passes made backwards or sideways all the time, but no such outcries thus far this season. 1 DM and 2 CMs.

Very difficult to say which one is better, but each has served it's purpose. If we agree or accept that the front 3 has lost 5-10% of its abilities due to age or fitness/ sickness issues, then the current trio has made up for it by being more offensively effective.
