Personally I would rather get Real Madrid in the final if we of course can get by Villareal, defensively I think we would be better equipped to deal with their attack than citie's and just the thought of possibly losing to Citee of all the shower of ####### in the final if we were to get their would make me puke. Plus I'd like to see Pep fail to win it with citee again as we all know we have the best manager in the world pep has the biggest budget.

I just feel we would stand a better chance of beating Madrid than Citee ed666 but that's just my opinion.

I was playing a gig so I only tuned in a few minutes ago (just in time to see Benzema's pen), but RM are defending like Man U. I'm certain Telles and Maguire on the pitch for them.

If they somehow manage to get past Man City whilst doing that, I'd be quite happy to play them if we do the business against Villareal.

I understand exactly what you mean ed666 I believe in this team 100% but I just would hate the though of possibly losing to citee in the final anyways we haven't got there yet so no point in counting chickens I guess.

Real Madrid have a well documented history in this competition and always find a way to win it. One way or another.

ManCity have not covered themselves in glory today. A 1 goal advantage over Real Madrid at home, means that they should really be prepared for the onslaught of Madrid's bag of rapid counter attacks and assorted tricks.

I think we can beat both teams on our day. I prefer playing Real Madrid, the harder team. We owe them.

City should have scored 7 tonight which is worrying from a defending against them point of view . However Madrid scored 3 and City gifted them 3 opportunities to counter 25 yards from thier own goal in the first half hour with slack balls out from the back, one of which should have been punished. So City will give you goals if you attack them. One thing is for sure the second leg of that game is going to be a good watch. I feel we will take a comfortbale lead to Spain ourselves, but under no illusions that a team that has put out Juve and Bayern will not be an easy task.

Really want revenge on Madrid.
Vini Jr would worry me though running in behind Trent, and of course benzema. Their defence is an absolute shambles though, we will smash them to bits.

I would much rather Real for a variety of reasons.

Firstly, revenge, obviously. It has a nice ring to it.

Secondly, all English finals are bloody horrible and i’d never get over it if we lost it to City. It would be torture.

Thirdly, as mentioned above, I think our high line would kill Real Madrid. Our offside trap would not be something they’d be used to, and even if they did get through, i’d back Alisson every day of the week.

That’s just defensively though. Offensively, making the pitch smaller and putting pressure on the Madrid midfield and defence would make them commit footballing suicide, as we have seen tonight. Their midfield is still really good but their defence had me wondering if they’d cloned Maguire four times over! They weren’t comfortable on the ball at all and if we brought our best form and pressed them off the park, it could be an easy win.

The second leg has an ominous feel about it now. City should have buried them and they haven’t, Madrid have no right to still be in the tie. Now they have to go to the Bernabeu and all the momentum is with Madrid, despite them losing. It feels like we’ve seen this one before and that will be playing on the minds of the City players.

None of this will matter if we don’t beat Villareal though. The best case scenario is we end the tie in the first leg and can save ourselves for future games, but it’s a Champions League semi final and i doubt that will happen.

I’d love to see us play Madrid in the final and salah get his revenge with an incredible hat trick. I’d also love to see us win a dour one nil over city. Honestly guys- I’d just like to see us win the champions league 🤣.

If City had ANY European pedigree they would have got to 2 up and just wore Madrid out, probably scoring a 3rd goal along the way. Instead the think they are Billy Big Ba. s and make a mess of it.

Lets be straight, Madrid were absolute rubbish tonight and still came away just one goal down. They will be happy enough with that and I think City will be shook.

Now for Liverpool we have our best chance with City caught between a rock and a hard place. They could easily drop points to Leeds if they are not careful and lose to Madrid next week.

Now Liverpool FC need to do our part and apply pressure, to the neck!

Can you imagine if we pip ManCity in the League and then beat them in the final of the UCL? It'll start a crazy debate as to who "the best English team of the decade" is, and in my mind it won't be ManCity.
