In the ongoing series of "this is the most important game of the season, without a doubt" (LOL), I think this weekend will be huge. First we have to beat Spurs, and then ManC has to really show what they are made of, after being outwitted out of the UCL. I have my doubts they'll be up for it, simply because such a defeat (against all odds and in such a manner) can really suck all the energy and confidence out of you. If they slip up now, or at any time before the end of the season, the "bottlers" and "chokers" moniker will become a chorus and maybe even stick. Maybe Pep will even be shown the door.

Hahaha. Your first sentence made me belly laugh. Brilliant.
Hope Newcastle bring their A game. They could have far easier opponents for sure.

What’s everyone’s team for Spurs?

Personally I think it’s obvious with only debate who partners Vvd and who starts in midfield.

Heard earlier Diaz has played more games than any other player in Europe this season.

Here’s another one for you Diaz will get a winners medal if Porto win the league and cup this season.

So whilst we are on for the quadruple he is on for 6.

In mindful of the non-stop routine of big games that face Liverpool.
Real Madrid are going to be able to relax over the next 3 weeks, we’re at it hammer and tongs twice a week in that time.

Lots to comment on here!

First, I think we'll tank spurs. They need a win, will attack and we'll pick them off.

Second, really hope Newcastle are on it and at least give city a game from the off, that could unsettle them giving the tragic hilarity of last night.

Third, I can't believe Diaz has played more games than anyone else this season. Rangers have played 59 games already this season, with a minimum of 4 more, and I'm pretty sure tavernier has played most of them.

Finally, real can rest players, but I think we have a full week before the final, and as we've proved before, any more than a week off and it seems upset our rhythm, so I'm happy enough with that.

We're going to win it all, boys!

Real's old men will need the rest.

Full strength team against spurs. has to be. Hendo thiago fab midfield. Matip with vvd trent and robbo. Diaz mane and salah up top.
Don't take spurs lightly.
City will thrash Newcastle too I reckon.

Rugby I checked mate and you’re 100% correct. Tavernier has played 53 times and Diaz 48.

Either the podcast I listened to was wrong or I misheard and they said most games in the top 5 leagues in Europe.

After all even Naby, Gomez and Matip could probably play 53 games a month up in Scotland with their injury records 😜🤣.

05 May 2022 20:01:10
Hehe, cheers jk, the only reason I brought it up because I read that rangers had played so many games today, and I know he didn't miss many even when Patterson was there this season.

And don't be crazy, some unfit Scottish loon would cripple matip the first time he ran out from defense, that would be completely alien to Scottish football!

The UCL final is the first match I'm really worried about. Madrid are on a roll and very confident. I think it will be an extremely tough match to win.

I do think the run in helps us a bit as having so much to play for will keep our guys focused, albeit tired at times. But not having to get yourself going for a big game because you haven't had one in a while can be tough, like when you take your foot off the gas in a match.

That said, who knows? We may win by a ton and my worries were meritless, haha. Either way, it should be a good match. I like our defense much more than theirs and that could be big.

Playing games and keeping momentum going is far better than not having games and losing match fitness. If we win out our remaining games and somehow snatch the title that will give us a huge boost mentally.

05 May 2022 21:12:28
I’d go full strength. It’s our hardest league game remaining and we’ve had a decent break inbetween games. By full strength i also mean Konate playing ahead of Matip because there’s no way i’d play Matip against Son.

Ali

TAA
Matip
VVD
Robbo

Naby
Fabs
Thiago

Jota
Sadio
Mo

Kelleher, Gomez, Tsimikas, Millie, Hendo, Curtis (if fit), Diaz and Bobby (if fit other wise Big Div) on the bench.

05 May 2022 22:36:09
Origi not on the bench big game wow.

{Ed0666's Note - I would rather have Divvy on the bench then Jota

05 May 2022 23:30:24
Nope. Diaz over Jota.

06 May 2022 00:14:23
I would play Konate over Matip with VVD. I think he is the superior defender which I think we will need against a spurs team that was super aggressive in the first game against them. Plus he has the pace adavantge over Matip to counter Son who is their main danger man. Matip is my first choice most of the time for teams who sit back as he is superior on the ball and bringing forward out of defence.

06 May 2022 02:26:53
Just my opinion on who we play at the weekend, not my opinion on our best starting 11 👍.

06 May 2022 08:36:21
Henderson will definitely start in my opinion, Diaz and Matip too. I think Klopp is trying to rotate as much as he possibly can without weakening the team too much. So there are some obvious ones Klopp can easily do and others not so easy but may be necessary.
