Is Pep insecure or something?
He already has the love of the media and pundits and are in pole to win the PL yet he finds it needful to aim a dig at Liverpool?

Hasn't enough people wax lyrical about him and his city teams? Can't people also have something for the underdogs given the massive resources city has?

And last I checked, not a single one in the media gave Liverpool a shot at the title this year, some even believed we won't be in the top 4!

He's won much but it seems he needs everyone to fawn over him.

That was just to remind people of our failures at domestic levels when people talk abt us in Europe. He intelligently shifted the focus on domestic level from their failures at European levels.

He's playing a dangerous game coz they still haven't won anything and yet already dishing out on media not cool at all.

We need on focus on ourselves and not others. You can say Pep's petty or having a dig or whatever, but the facts are clear that we've only won one title in 32 years, so he's right there. No known pundit tipped us to win the league this season if I recall; only a couple thought we could manage a second position. Most thought our best was 4th. I'm proud we made the league run exciting, so if this is the best we get from it, we'll accept it and try again next season.
We're clearly a pain for Pep, so you can understand where he's coming from. If we manage to beat Real on May 28, that would mean another Champions league trophy in 3 years; everyone knows much Pep craves that particular silverware. He's not stupid; he's trying to make sure the attention is on his spectacular success in the league rather than our "lucky" adventures! [He's called winning the Champions league lucky in the past]
Let's just stay hungry and humble. Salah needs to stop talking too much and focus on getting this season wrapped up. Everyone knows we've more than exceeded expectations this season, so let's keep going!

Kopforever, you don't think we've exceeded expectations this season? Did you expect this run? Did you expect at the beginning of the season that we'll be in any conversation for a quadruple in May? If your answer is yes, then I'm sorry. Clearly, 99.9% didn't expect this run. Mind you, no one has gone this far in a season still in the run for all titles, so yes, we've exceeded expectations. Doesn't mean anything if we don't finish up well, but no doubt we've been on a crazy run!

Pep talks nonsense. He has the most expensively assembled squad, the best squad depth, the ability to rotate more or less any position (except goalkeeper lol), and will have a ton of funds to make yet more signings in the summer. Oh and he’s frequently had a 100mil player to call from off the bench. You would expect City to win the league because their squad depth is so strong, in fact you’d expect them to win more or less everything. He’s bitter because he messed up the CL again, that’s it.

And let’s not mention the numerous, dodgy sponsorship deals City have created for themselves to give them such spending power. I mean essentially having shell companies sponsor you so you can pump up your FFP numbers is just out and out cheating but the Premier League continues to do nothing. When the truth about their financial manipulation comes out all of their “achievements” will be cheapened, and rightly so.

I don’t think he realises that EVERYONE is a Man City fan. Because when they win the league it’s like nobody won it, it’s a year off. Aslong as Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal don’t win the prem everyone is a winner.

If City was going for the league against any of them other big teams I’d be supporting pep, because they’re not big enough to care about, just like the rest of the world now wanting Man City to beat us to the title this year. Because they simply don’t matter. It’s an irrelevant club that nobody hates like Luton or Brentford etc.

Not for quadruple but I expect us to compete for league and Champions league every season with the team we have bar injuries.

It's all just pure deflection. He's just setting everyone up in case they do slip up at some point in the title race and LFC do win over Real Madrid. He's expecting everyone to believe that his brief was only "to create exciting football that is entertaining and pleasing to the eye". Winning the UCL is just supposed to be a side effect, then presumably? He's spent huge amounts, he's probably earning more than double or triple what the likes of Eriksson, Hughes, Mancini and Pellegrini were given, and yet the man is feeling "unloved". This is all a multi-billion dollar game and the stakes are huge. He wasn't given hundreds of millions because of his smile and pearly whites. Guardiola should stop believing his Press, and understand that people see through his games, which frankly, are of very amateurish level.

He's still one of the two best football managers in the World. But please spare us the insecurities and give us credit for functional brain cells.

I wouldn’t necessarily say we have best attack, considering city have a better goal difference to us due to ridiculous amount of goals they have scored in their last 4 or 5 games!

Pep was right. The impartial media and neutral fans will rather Liv win than City because we have spent less and won less. Only 1 PL compared to City's 5?. Also City have dominated domestically last 5-10 years. Neutral fans/ media wouldn't want any team to dominate. He was stating facts so don't get why fans get wound up.

Harry, no it is not so stop deflecting like your manager is. That is beneath you or should be. Your manager is an arrogant, little man who can't stand competition and someone or anyone challenging hi. Klopp has continued to make him suffer to either win things or make him suffer to win things. The guy is also lying when he said winning the CL was not part of his remit. Then, he needs to have a word with Beguiristan and Serrano and directors at City and his buddies from Barcelona cos that is EXACTLY what they said when he was hired.

Klopp's about to play his THIRD CL final right under your manager's nose who has outspent him by 2 to one and who continues to fail miserably at the same stage and that is what Pep cannot stand. I really hope we win the CL cos at that point, Klopp would have played more CL finals than him and won the same amount of CL's despite being outspent by you self-obsessed, arrogant little man of a manager.
