So Madrid have already won their league and a lot of people are giving them a huge advantage against us as they have a lot of down time between now and the final.

Is this really an advantage though?

They're all on the beach already, why wouldn't they be if they've tied up their league?

But consider our form any time we've had any sort of break during the season. We always look sluggish and blunt after an international break or when players have been given time to rest.

So I guess it's a case of would you rather be playing full throttle every week and staying sharp or would you rather have the rest?

I'm actually thinking this could work in our favour.

I agree I always find having a break can be detrimental as you aren’t at full speed and need to lift yourself again. It’s one of the reasons PSG fail to perform on the champions league nights I think it’s because they don’t get play massively intense games week in week out and I think it’s key to why they struggle . When we get to Paris we must just make sure we play our game and forget the noise and focus on getting them back for Kiev and seeing the shuffle as Hendo lifts number 7.

Our last league game is on Sun 22 May and the final is Sat 28th so I think its a pretty good break for the lads to have 6 days to recover and prep for the final.

{Ed014's Note - I guess if the league has gone by then you can rotate to suit in that final game giving some potential important squad players minutes before the final.

Hope you get at least a treble and it’s not done yet in the league.

Win our next games, get some form, prepare for the biggest trophy in club football. The league is over but it’s no reason to start losing. Good form breeds confidence.

There’s a big difference between fitness and match fitness. I think we have the advantage as long as we are injury-free.

The league is in no way over.

Klopp's teams always need rhythm. We also need games for a couple of players to play themselves back into form - namely Mo and Jota.

Thank you Ed014 your very kind mate.

{Ed014's Note - you’re welcome Barry, great teams and managers deserve big things!

Jones, the league is over, City are going to pump each of their next opponents without as much as a whimper from them, like they did with Newcastle. We should use our games as preparation for the European Cup Final.

Some fans might chuck the towel in but I guarantee Klopp and the players won't. There's also the small matter of an FA Cup final to be dealt with too.

Not saying chuck in the towel flash, I firmly believe we should be going out to win all of our games as form breeds confidence. Just saying that the title race is over, no way any of City’s remaining opponents will put up a fight, all of them are going to roll over and get pumped for four or five goals the way Newcastle did so pathetically.

I disagree VVVV. I think both Wolves and West Ham are still playing for European place and will not throw in the towel.

May not beat City but they will definitely put a shift in.

You always want to go into a big final on form and with a competitive winning streak vs good competition. The mindset is very essential. Surely if we must rotate to rest legs then by all means, do it BUT for me, we play to the whistle is blown for ALL 4 games before the final vs RM.
