Done well to get the win there, we got it put up 2 us. hendo was great when he came on I thought. Hopefully wolves show same attitude 2mo nite as villa did.

We don’t like to do things the easy way. But at this stage 3 points is the most important thing. Hopefully Villa play like that v City on the last day.

One thing for sure. We’ll need to play better than we did tonight and over the last few games Spurs, Villarreal, Benfica when we play Chelsea and Real.

It’s time’s like these i put my faith in the Butterfly Effect.

In the reality that exists where we actually beat Spurs, maybe City just go on and win the remaining games anyway?

Maybe by virtue of dropping points some unforeseen set of circumstances arises that wouldn’t have previously happened otherwise? Maybe City feel the pressure more? Maybe they take their eye off the ball just a tiny bit? Maybe the other teams fancy it more on the day then they would have otherwise? Maybe the referees will be in a different mood?

You can’t predict any of these things and everything within the football ecosystem is inter-connected, especially at this stage of the season. It might be unlikely, but with the level of pressure being exerted on these two sides at the moment, anything is possible.

We’ll know by this time next week whether we’re winning the league or not most likely.

City will need to lose a game by big margin or we bear one of the two remaining teams by a huge margin. Not happening either. The league is done and without Fabinho I can’t see us getting past both Madrid and Chelsea midfield.

Chelsea have been crap of late but much like Villa Spurts etc they will be well up for it on Saturday. We seem to bring out the best in whoever we play. I'm confident tho that we'll give Chelsea and Madrid comfortable beatings. Chelsea will at least try to make a game of it whereas Madrid will time waste and try to frustrate us.

do ya rekon Liverpool has some of the most hopeless of hopeful fans? haha I mean I don't follow other fans pages, but I feel like we're constantly reading comments about how we can't win this or that following a draw or defeat haha Man, that 30 year drought really left a stain aye!?

Didn’t we say City would have a CL hangover? Now it’s City might be complacent because we dropped points.

Unfortunately I don't think whatever we do will have a reflection on City. We need them to just have an off day which happens to top teams and Wolves, West Ham and Villa to all have good days.

You probably have a point faith. I started following LFC in the mid nineties so have seen many a false dawn. Admittedly there is still a part of me expecting to wake up or waiting for us to drop back down to the ‘also rans’ we had been for so long with the occasional cup and 2nd place finish thrown in to keep me dreaming! The last few years and currently being (arguably) one of the two best teams in the world and sustaining it is pure dream material.

Spot on, JK23. City just need to have an off day. That's it.

I started supporting around that same time Westwood. and yeah I am being a bit tonuge in cheek, but it does feel a bit small fry sometimes. We are a fantastic club and for the last few years, besides an injury riddled 2020/ 21 season, have been right at the top. Looking forward to competing for more silverware year in year out.
