A bit of fun lads. Klopp could be taking his second champs league trophy home next year. 2 in 7 years (could of been 3) not bad considering Ferguson won 2 in 26 years….

Paisley won 3 in 9 years and a UEFA cup too.

{Ed0666's Note - Paisley is the GOAT end of

Paisley didn walk into the rubbishshow Kloppo did in fairness! two legends in anyway.

Klopp walked into a far harder situation. The team he was left wasn’t great and pretty unbalanced after the poor dealings we’d had in the transfer market. Out of that squad only Firmino, Gomez, Milner and Origi are left. That said, Paisley is the greatest because of what the club won and how dominant he made us. But Klopp will be talked about in the same conversation as Shankly and Paisley because he took a team going nowhere and created literal world beaters.

And Henderson.

Jones, yeah you’re right, total blonde moment there! Shows how far Klopp has transformed the club and the culture at the ckub.

Klopp is more akin to Shankly, took the club from the dumpster to the top
We can only hope his successor is akin to Paisley! stay at the top, dominate for at least a decade and make everyone else look silly, even all the clubs with deep pockets swimming in the league now.

Klopp is far from done yet. You'll see. If he's signed an extension, it's because he has a plan in his head and I'm sure it includes not only rejuvenating the team and preparing the next generation, but also winning as many titles and trophies along the way. And once you've done something once, you know what it takes to get it done again. I doubt very much he would stay if he wasn't confident he could do it again.

I think we keep forgetting recruitment. Our recruitment under klopp has been nuts. There have been zero bad signings. The recruitment team has been A grade. Also the owners. Kloppo has been reasonably well backed and is given a lot of support from backroom staff who again are world class from coaches to physios to doctors. Our new training facilities are second to none. Everything is just top drawer. The whole club was rotting, it needed revamp and it took time and everybody invested in project gave it 100%. And we are where we are…
Should be a movie…:

{Ed001's Note - Keita was a bad signing.}

I actually wouldn’t consider Naby to be a bad signing personally but I can understand why others might think so.

Balotelli, Carroll, Lambert, Markovic, Ilori, etc, these are the ones that come to mind from recent years for me at least

Karius and Caulker are the dodgy ones from Klopp era but considering one was very cheap and the other was a loan I wouldn’t consider them bad per se.

{Ed001's Note - how can Keita not be considered a bad signing? I am sorry but that is just ludicrous to pay nearly £70m + huge wages for a player that has spent most of the time injured and the rest being crap. And Karius and Caulker were bad signings too. No point making excuses, it just makes you look silly to not acknowledge mistakes.}

Paisley is the GOAT, I fully agree with Ed666 BUT don’t let the mancs hear that cos it gets them triggered.
As for Keita, I can see where Ed is coming cos I even consider Keita for what we paid and expected from him and what he has produced overall, is a bad signing. Caulker and Karius were bad signings too. No harm in saying that.

22 May 2022 08:25:34
I agree with Ed Keita has been a disappointment even though he has been more consistent lately. Personally I would offload this summer and this will give more opportunity to Jones who has similar qualities ball carrying etc and a higher ceiling and local boy to boot…. plus it gives more opportunities to Elliott too.

22 May 2022 10:07:06
I wouldn't put it as strongly as Ed001 but Keita has been disappointing. I'm hoping that Fabinho is fit for next Saturday because I don't trust Naby Lad.

Klopp is great but event he makes mistakes
So it’s fine to say he had a few bad signings
The plus was most of his big money spends and most players in general turned out fine
At one point, the norm was we got most wrong and the one that turned out fine was the exception than the rule
So I’ll gladly take what we have now.
