Ed014 you little wind up, ? you reeled in a few big ones over on the united site.

Personally not bothered in the whole who's bigger argument as you'll always think it's your own team.

But some of the arguments over why they are bigger did make me laugh.

We all know how they feel is the best bit about it, we had it for 30 years whilst they had their time in the sun. But now they need to get used to being top four candidates for a few years yet.

I have no doubt that one day they will be back fighting and winning titles, however its fun watching their fan base that mocked for 30 years about us looking to history now slowing morphing into that cycle of spiel.

{Ed014's Note - who me ?…some of them are utterly pathetic though and are exactly like you say, gave it large but can’t hack it back.

In my opinion Liverpool are the better club and Paisley is the best of them all.

I really couldn’t give a toss what they think as 90% is deluded red tinted shite.?

Some think I hate United and it’s just because I don’t suck up to the garbage they peddle on there! ?‍♂️

Agree0 Disagree0

Glad you didn't hold back Ed ??. Nothing like saying it as you see it, very refreshing ?.

{Ed014's Note - never one for waffling bollox! ?

Was funny reading their responses, but have to say, a bit odd you don't consider Busby a managerial great. ??.

{Ed014's Note - he’s a quality manager, won 5 titles and a Champions league, does that or the Munich disaster make him great rather than a top manager.

I’m not saying he was rubbish by any stretch.

Ed014 stop waffling bollox.

No way are 10% of Utd fans not rubbish ?.

{Ed014's Note - ok ok so i may have exaggerated! By about 10%! ??

They are a bigger club than us in many respects. I can live with that.
I know a load of United lads and some of them are reasonable and knowledgeable. Funnily enough they are the ones that do actually go to games. A good mate from school's grandad was assistant manager to Busby. I believe a statue of him is on the offing.

11 Jun 2022 16:12:32
*in* the offing.

Ed014 ??? love it.

{Ed014's Note - ???

11 Jun 2022 15:06:33
"Does it make you feel better poppet"Love it Ed014?.

{Ed014's Note - sorry Barry, couldn’t help myself, again!, he was such a drip! ?‍♂️?

From the United page not looking a row. But on any given day you can argue United or liverpool are bigger than the other. They’re two of the biggest clubs in the world, who have come through tragedy, down periods and ruled at the top.

I often think the fans have great respect for each other apart from the small minority who mock each other’s respective tragedies.

Also, final point Busby was probably our finest manager. My grandfather witnessed his era first hand and I’ve never seen him speak about a manager in any other way. Thought I’d throw that in here because I can’t be arsed going back through the thread on our page, some muck posted ?.

Have a good summer lads, think yous have a cracking player on your hands in Nunez.

Rigsby, Jimmy Murphy statue is on it’s a way indeed!

Glad to hear it, Caolan. I went on holiday as a young lad with Jimmy Murphy's son, daughter-in-law and grandson and they are lovely people.
Jimmy was less easy going, from what I've heard, but he deserves a lot of respect for what he did at United after Munich when the club- Matt Busby included- was recovering from the disaster. Had it not been for his job with Wales, Mr. Murphy would have been on the flight, too.
Nice chatting to you, Caolan. As I've already said, I know loads of sound United lads. Like with Busby, Shankly, Ferguson and Paisley, we may have different teams but we share a love of football and our political views are very much the same.
Keep posting here, Comrade.

Cheers rigsby.

Yeah I believe he was a strict man and very strict with his players, but there was something special about how he got through to them.

Probably could have been a very good number 1, but from my reading it seems like he never fancied the spotlight. I’m glad the club are honouring as he kept the doors open after Munich, and served the club so well. It should have been done earlier, but better late than never as they say.
