What gets people's vote, in or out swinging corner, I much prefer the in

I thought the high softly landing out swingers against RBL were too easy to defend and difficult to get enough power on the header to threaten l keeper.

Thoughts appreciated.

Does the in swinging corner not put more pressure on the keepers?

I prefer a mix. Corners mostly need to be unpredictable to the defending team while attacking team know exactly what's going to happen. Preference is in swingers but there should always be a healthy mix of outswingers, near post, far post, centre goals etc. And the odd creative one. Very odd. I do hate when the defence comes up and they don't get it in there but they absolutely should try something a little different every once and a while.

Think it also gets some defenders running back towards their own goal, very difficult to clear the ball.

As long as the delivery is good for whatever they’ve planned then I don’t mind. What I hate is when it looks like they have no idea what their plan is lol.

There is one answer to this post

Who’s the most effective goal scoring header of the ball at present in the team

Jota

What corners in training does he score more goals from

Whatever the answer is to that question is the answer simple mathematics.

{Ed0666's Note - Did someone mention Jota?

Either is fine, I just want them delivered at pace. The floated/ lofty ones annoy me.

I can't believe he mentioned Jota?.

{Ed001's Note - must be the first time since the season ended his name has come up.... Sadly it was an incorrect shout as Konate is the better header of the ball at set-piece situations. He showed that last season. Jota is very good though it must be said that is probably his strongest ability.}

Corner taken quickly gets my vote.

I think out swingers suit us better. out swingers til konate or van dyke powering in. In swingers I think are more geared to flicked type headers for smaller type players, trajectory of ball needs to be low and very accurate whereas out swinger there is more of a margin in delivery.

A variety of corners is needed to keep us unpredictable. The only one I wouldn’t bother with is the short, hard pass to the opposition’s near-post defender that we seemed to have used so frequently over the past few years.

I prefer a mix as well BUT if I had to choose, I would pick an out swinging corner as it prevents the GK from having a chance to come out to claim/ punch the ball out and gives us a better chance at attacking the ball depending on who/ area we are targeting.

I like the corner where none of the defenders are looking because the corner taker has walked away and then darts back and kicks it to an unmarked attacker.
If only we could do that once in a while.
Also the one where our goalie scores a worldie header (and it was) .

On second thoughts, we should always set up for a short corner.
This takes one attacker out of the box and should take two defenders out so that gives us a numeric advantage.
Then we just take a normal corner.
If only one player comes out of the box we do a short corner routine and get a cross in from a different angle or from closer.

I like those rare corners that Beat the first man.
