City’s response to losing was graceless at best and childish at worst. It was a pre-season match and picking up momentous was a simple formality. Trying not to read too much into it but a subtle hint at the lack of maturity of the management.

Anyway, not a bad indicator of how the preparation for the season is going and, even though it is a pre-season game Liverpool 3 Man City 1 has a nice ring to it.

Now, if we can sign a world class midfielder before the start of the season …….

You learn as much about someone when they lose as when they win and it’s important to be able to do both graciously. Anyone thinking differently lacks moral fibre.

I used to play darts at a medium level and once lost a final to a bit of an asshole but I made a point of shaking his hand as he went up to get his trophy.

Being a great competitor ALSO comes with humility and respect for your adversary and giving them credit for stepping up to the plate and challenge you. City not coming over to collect their medals is very disrespectful, disgraceful and a huge slap on the face to the dignity and respect for the sport. What ex are we setting for kids playing sports with this type of wretched conduct?

Now am I surprised City did this? No. Why? Have you seen their manager react when he loses (esp to us) or when things don’t go his way? Bernardo Siva does not do what he did by disrespecting the Guard of Honor if he thought he couldn’t get away with it. And this is why NOBODY cares for the most part when they win things.
