I think if lfc switch to 343 they can deal with the midfield issue

Trent fab keita/ carvalho Robertson

Salah nunez diaz

And when tsimikas is back u could put Robertson alongside van an matip and him out wide with two left footers on that side … so I think a change of formation could help a lot sometimes I think Liverpool could really do well in it.

Magico you'd imagine that Elliot has leap frogged Naby in the pecking order with him missing the opening game so i think it'll be him starting against Palace. Fab was brought off and Hendo moved into the 6 on sat so i wouldn't even be surprised to see Hendo start there on Monday with Milner getting a start also.

If Klopp wants to put a rocket up the squads ar##s by dropping a few after Sats performance then i think there's only a few positions that would allow that and its Matip's, Fabs and Bobbies.

Other positions can't be dropped because we literally haven't got any fit players to replace them.

Redrebel, with respect, when was the last time we played 3 at the back under Klopp? There is something seriously wrong if we have to adopt a completely new system due to an injury to just one player.

No chance of a 3-4-3.

For me we just put Keita or Milner on the left of the 3. Would say Jones if he wasn't injured! Elliott and Henderson are both ineffective on the left of a 3.

If we did change formation would surely be the 4-4-2 we've played before. In that scenario i'd envisage Salah and Nunez up front, Elliott Right midfield, Diaz Left midfield. Hendo and Fabinho in the centre. But could also leave Salah on the right and play Carvalho or Bobby up front with Nunez.

Henderson shouldn’t be there. Should only play when Fabinho is missing. Keita and Elliott should be starting with Fabinho.

Deffo see more of Elliott and Milner of more of a battle. Cav if we are leading by a few goals at home or need to create something to turn things around away later on.

I love Milner. But a midfield of Milner, Hendo and Fab offers next to little creativity as a trio. We cannot be expecting that midfield to carry us forward. Fab shields the defence. So I would expect the other midfielders to of course track back but at least one to be attacking. We will have to be bringing Elliot or Carvalho into the fold as I would have them starting over Naby.

A back 3 ain't happening except as an emergency when chasing a game. Why? We don't have the personnel to play it and cos you have 4 CB's does not mean they have the qualities to play the back 3. That's not how football works.

Fabio and Elliot look like Number 10’s to me.
Now I know we don’t play with a 10, but we tried all that wing nonsense with Minamino and Shaqiri.

As fit as Milner is, its doubtful he would last 90 mins these days nevemind a run of games in the team. If recovered it will be Naby in my opinion. Millie is a superb option from the bench.
