I have hammered Mo for his abysmal form and petulant behaviour when others around him have just been on a different level to his last season. But I have a sneaky feeling he feels he can give us one last hurrah and maybe grab a trophy and a golden boot.

Obviously, I have no idea what’s happening and he could still be sold, but I know he is not a shrinking violet and will be determined to find his best wherever it might be. If he stays he has something to prove and wouldn’t be surprised if he has a season to remember. Hopefully we get to see him smiling more than frowning.

This team could and can achieve anything so let's see what happens. I for one am looking forward to see our wonderful squad perform week in week out and thank God everyday I support this fantastic club at least it is exciting unlike that England flobber!

The other players around him were on a different level to Salah last season.
Not one of them scored as many goals as him.

Unless we make quality additions the best we can hope for is an FA Cup. Sad reality unfortunately, but I do feel Mo has a lot to offer moving forward.

How many Liverpool players can say they had a better season than Salah? We've got far bigger issues in the team than or top scorer (again) and top assister (again)

Players seem to go up a level with a skinhead maybe that can help? Skin head Rooney and gerrard was elite.

@rigsby
You are right and it’s a curious case as Darwin was superb but couldn’t score
As many as he should have where salah General play was often very poor but scored the most . Hopefully new manager slight tweaking of things brings a bit more cohesion to the attack as it looked a bit forced all season.

Here’s hoping Salah has another abysmal season of 25 goals and 14 assists ??.

I really like Nunez.

But was he superb?

Genuinely can’t find the evidence to back that.

If slot plays the kids in the domestic cups, I think we'd get 90+ points.

Take away pens and Salah only scored one more goal than Nunez. Not judging or slating or anything anymore as there's no point, I'm just saying.

Westwood, that’s true but I reckon there are a lot of strikers who could score 18 non-penalty goals for us in 54 games, but not many wingers who’d score 19 non-penalty goals for us in 44 games. Plus Nunez hit his only penalty against the post so that shows they’re not guaranteed goals.

If all of our wingers had shown the same “abysmal form” as Salah (minus the penalties) Jota would have got an extra 4 goals and 10 asssists, Diaz would’ve got an extra 6 goals and 9 assists, and Gakpo would’ve got an extra 3 goals and 8 assists. Remember as well by the way that Salah got 14 assists without taking free kicks or corners. Not many players get anything like that many open play assists.

Had Nunez been superb we might have won the League.
I like the lad but I can't get his miss at Old Trafford out of my head when I think of his season. He was in the six yard box and the ball would have gone out for a throw.
The importance of the game and where it was makes it all the more unforgettable ?.

While I wouldn't call it abysmal it would be nice if Salah could make the goals and assists a little more consistent instead of stacking them all at the first half of season and then becoming a liability for the second half of the season.

Scoring a goal in 25 games is a lot more useful then scoring 25 goals in 12 games.

When we were struggling for form that's the time we needed mo to turn up. Same goes for Darwin and anyone else up front.

More isn't always better.

Nevada I agree mate and very much the same for Nunez as you pointed out.

Both players had a difficult end to the season.

06 Jul 2024 15:54:42
It'd depend on the results of the games, wouldn't it, Nevada?
