Hi Ed001. I hope you are well, just wanted your thoughts on what we can expect this season and also what our realistic expectations should be please with a new manager and new ideas?
{Ed001's Note - I don't know enough about Slot to know what we can expect, especially as there is the very real possibility he will have to alter his style to adjust for the Premier League. As for realistic expectations, it was clear last season that we were held back by poor tactics and lack of intensity in our play. So, with that in mind, we should be able to expect a similar season from a new manager with new ideas - ie top 3 and challenging for trophies.}

I hope so, Ed01. If Slot can get us going from the off (easier said than done) then, that will buy him more time to adjust to the league cos we would have points in the bag already which makes getting his point across to the players on the training ground, a lot easier.

Edd001 you mention lack of intensity. I thought we were slow and dreadful most of the time yet Curtis Jones made it out we were back playing fast heavy metal football. His press conference made it seem we're basically the same for this season, slow, lots of possesion and "killing teams".

I'd be very happy with a top4 n challenge for the cups . we got new manager, maybe new players, maybe a different set up. so think that's the best we can aim for . in my opinion anyway.

Have to be pushing 90 points in the league. That’s the average to win it the last 20 years. If someone else gets more you hold your hands up you did what you could.

We won’t be title contenders so forget that. I’m not happy about that but it is the way it is. Seems like from the the ownership downwards being cuckold to City is fine.
The fact that some supporters are happy to just take part and accept 3rd or 4th place says something about the loser mentality among some sections of the supporters.

Jesus wept. I don't like negativity but some of this is next level. I was hearing somewhere that Klopp averaged 86 points per season since he started at LFC and won 1 title. Before Man City's billions and Guardiola, he would have another 2 or 3 titles to his name, but he hasn't.
Sometimes you just have to accept that no matter what you do you are pushing against an unstoppable tide. We are not being cuckold to City, sometimes you have to accept things the way they are. Yes maybe Man City have a bad season or a long injury list and another team wins the league. But odds are they will win it again. I would just like us to be in the equation, whether we are with a new manager, new setup, new players is another matter. I would accept 3rd or 4th this season.
I am not a defeatist, or young, I have supported LFC since the late 80s, I have been through Dalglish, Souness, Evans etc. Just because we are LFC doesn't mean we are entitled to anything.
