Ed025,
Fowler is God amongst us reds no doubt. My childhood hero in fact, but how does anyone pick him over Rush?

Equal in the air give or take a few but I think Rush had him in all other categories.

All good and much love just looking to genuinely know the choice.

If it's the mauling at goodison I understand lol.

On a side note the new stadium is taking shape to be an iconic location.

I'm irish and if we aren't doing the goods our closest neighbours will do for me against the out of towners. That's always been my mindset anyway. Rivalry aside it's madness to stretch it otherwise in my opinion. I suppose there might be a lot of irish people may even disagree on that front but a town is a town and a city a city. Kick lumps out of each other when the time comes but stand united when someone knocks on the door with a big chin.

Would love to see a day again where Liverpool and Everton are neck and neck going into the last few games.

As long as it's not a Reglation fight, it's a win win for me.

{Ed025's Note - i just loved Robbie RW and the most natural finisher i have ever seen, rush ran him close for sure but the scouse thing tipped me over the edge as i love to see a local lad do well, i went to see Bramley Moore last week mate and to be perfectly honest its not as great as it looks on the internet for me but i only seen it from outside so that is probably misleading, i actually like to see the both teams doing well you know and aside from the banter so do most of the people i know, but i wont be going to the derbies anytime soon because in recent years the atmosphere has been toxic, i love the irish as well and had the time of my life in Belfast a few weeks ago, they are very akin to the scousers for me..

Both were complete forwards at their peak who could bring team-mates into the play just as score themselves (that's especially overlooked on Fowler), but I just think Robbie had a bit more technique in terms of finishing, passing, free-kicks etc. which shades it for me.

Rush obliterates him on longevity and keeping fit though. Probably a little better in the air too.

Isn’t Ian rush scouse? He sounds it.

Rush is from North Wales, Flint to be exact. Proper top guy Rushy and absolutely underrated as a player! He was top top quality.

Ed025 in Ireland we refer to Liverpool as the 33rd county. I'm living in England a while now and have lived in Scotland. For me Liverpool is hands down the best city for some craic and genuine people.

{Ed025's Note - it is a great city Walkon, the press would have you thinking its not mate but i love the place..

OP red wolverine. if there is a question in yr post the answer is Rush ☺⚽️✌.

Rushie for me, he helped Robbie a lot.

I live in Belfast myself Ed, quite expensive around the city centre now for a few beverages, especially the Cathedral quarter, although that's where the best bars are. Which bars stood out for you over here?

{Ed025's Note - i liked Kellys cellar, the Duke of York, the Dirty Onion, the Crown and the Harp Bar, in fact all of them Robbo, we also went drinking down the Falls rd and the Shankhill rd where the prices were great, we also went in a small pub by the indoor market where musicians were jamming together and there was dancing upstairs, real folk music but i cant remember the name of it...it was brilliant and they made us feel very welcome mate, i would recommend it to anyone..

God for me, just a natural finisher and scored from everywhere.

{Ed025's Note - i wonder how much he would cost in todays market FW?..

St George’s Market in the City centre Ed25?

{Ed025's Note - im not sure IR, its a modern indoor market and there was a popular cafe in the same street but i cant remember the name of that either, the pub im on about you had to ring a bell to get in, and some of the singers were Gaelic and even though i couldn,t understand a word of it it was very entertaining mate, they got us up to dance and it was like a ho-down thing..brilliant..

Rushie for me, as well as being an exceptional striker, he would defend from the front and would work hard to regain possession.

All cracking bars there Ed, Harp bar was always my fav but haven't been there in years, not often I get to any bars now at all. I often only get a chance to drink a draft Guinness when out for a meal with the family these days. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

{Ed025's Note - yeah it was great Robbo, my liver may not agree though mate.. :)

Loved Fowler but Rush was the ultimate goal machine . be perfect even now for how the teams defend from the front .

29 Jul 2024 12:04:39
Robbie was outstanding but Rush was better but Sir Roger took some beating but out of Robbie and Ian it would be Ian Rush .
