Can't see anymore incoming. I know the club are working on stuff but given the way we have approached transfers this year i can't imagine we will get anything over the line in the next 36hrs with the exception of chiesa (fingers crossed) don't think we will see our cb or dm that we all want.

We don’t all want a CB and a DM.
I just want the right players that will make us a better team. If we have to be patient to get them I’m totally fine with that.

I’m still waiting for someone to tell me why we need an out and out DM, especially given the way that Slot seems to want to set the team up, and what the specific attributes are that make a DM such a critical buy?
For me the elephant in the room is what happens when Jota gets injured - the alternative is obviously Nunez but for me there are a fair few question marks about him being able to play as the lone striker.

might not be an out and out DM, But a destroyer. And what is this slot way of playing? It’s a copy version of how Pep / Arteta and half the world is playing today. And most of them have a DM / destroyer in there sitting and protecting the defense.

@UnderAmor, we don't play with a "destroyer" under Slot so for the upteenth time I have asked this. Why in the heck would we sign a type of player the manager does not need nor use?
People talk about how Zubimendi would have been a great signing in the "destroyer" type whereas Zubimendi is not a "destroyer" to begin with either. Good grief!

@Underarmor, if you think that Slot's way of playing is a copy of Arteta/ Pep, then I suggest you watch how we play and set up because it's entirely different. Pep and Arteta effectively play with four CBs, with one stepping up and sitting next to a singular DM while the other CMs push forward. Slot plays with two CMs, with our FBs occasionally stepping into midfield but would also provide support down the flanks occasionally as well.
If Klopp was still our manager then yes, I'd agree that we do need a destroyer-type DM in the mould of Fabinho or Endo. But seeing how we have played in pre-season and in the past two league games, that kind of DM is not needed. If Slot decides that his way won't work and we need a DM then fair enough. But we don't currently.

Imagine telling someone for the upteenth time how Slots Liverpool plays when they’ve only watched them 4 times (2 league games) on YouTube.
If ever I’m on who wants to be a millionaire and I need a subject matter expert on Slot then I will def be using the phone a friend lifeline.

Don’t see how it’s different @Dracred. Both City and Arsenal are allowed to buy defenders, while we have two brilliant full backs.
It doesn’t matter who the manager is, you need someone to stop the attack. Don’t bull this tactics. the two CM you are referring (Gravenberch and whoever) are not sufficient.

Under Armour have you ever watched Citeh or Arsenal? As I'm wondering who their destroyer or DM is. As their midfielders don't play a traditional DM or a destroyer role in my eyes. Its more of deep lying playmaker role.
You have Rodri and Rice who play a slightly deeper all round CM role (Rice ain't on Rodris level mind) . Jorginho and Odengaard are neither either. Unless you are talking about Partey, who actually tends to be on the bench. Then look at Citeh. Nunes, Kovacic (if he is still there), Gundo and De Bruyne. Nope, no destoyer or traditional DM.
If we needed a traditional DM or destroyer, Endo would be playing or we would of gone for someone like Ugarte instead of Zubimendi (who ain't a traditional DM or destroyer) .

I suppose the only thing we can take from it is now Slot and Hughes and compare bedding in they can now plan for 12 months hence and ensure there’s no repeat of this window.

We’re not under manned at CB or midfield.
So the person we bring in has to be better than the starters or good enough to be their backup whilst also happy to be a backup.
It’s not an easy or simple window to just go and get any ‘ol player. Better to stick with who we have and also use the next couple windows to rebuild. We have time.
