If Ryan Gravenberch, who has received lots of negativity on here, keeps playing like this all season and Stefan Bajcetic has a good season at Salzburg, then the No. 6 position is sorted.

Don't forget "Salah is finished"

Was it Davey Sulls who was the most vocal about Grav?
What do you think now? You coming round Davey?
01 Sep 2024 18:03:05
I hold my hands up, I said the jury was still out on him but these three games he's been great let's hope he keeps it up.
01 Sep 2024 18:06:07
The question is whether Gravenberch and Diaz can keep doing it all season. I've never questioned Salah because he has done it for years.
Let's hope they all can it going.

Been really impressed by Diaz adding goals to his game so far this season. He has 3 in 3 games this season and he previously had 16 in I think about 65 games. Been a massive improvement. He should’ve scored another couple at Ipswich but he was so clinical today so long may it continue!
01 Sep 2024 18:15:10
I thought Grav needed time and said as much but he’s shocking me with how good he’s been in this Slot system.
I knew there was a player in there. I just didn’t know it was this good.
01 Sep 2024 18:17:42
I was and still am the same, gmil.
The jury is still out, for me.
I've warmed to him and I've seen that he can do a job as a six for us but whether it's enough to win us Leagues and CLs is yet to be seen.
I hope he can but it's more hope than confidence at the moment.

@Beckers Pecker: Stop making this site - your POV vs mine! Just relax a little. We all support Liverpool, mate.
01 Sep 2024 18:30:26
It’s sad hearing Salah saying it’s his last year and the club haven’t spoken to him about a new contract, he is flying this year - to think he may not be tearing utd apart at old Trafford again for LFC is gutting ?.
01 Sep 2024 18:51:34
LFCDas its the ones who talk in absolutes who make it POV v POV and there's some on here who do that a lot. Were doomed this season since we never bought a CB and no 6, Gravenberch isn't good enough, Diaz has no end product, Konate is crap, Szoboslai is crap etc, are all things that have said on here in some way or another. They should be called out for being so negative and talking as if their opinions are facts when they aren't.
01 Sep 2024 18:53:13
I wouldn't worry too much Sofa_Fan, it sounded very much like Salah wants to stay. The club will talk to him about a new contract at some point as well as Virg and Trent.
01 Sep 2024 19:17:26
Hope they extend but the club do have to get it right. Casemiro perhaps an indication of the downside of older high earners. My guarantees either way but it’s not just a case of putting a blank cheque in front of Mo.
01 Sep 2024 19:35:29
Did you watch the game today Faith? Salah and Vvd in the same sentence as Casemiro.
Players that have left us recently Bobby, Hendo, Fab, Milner, Ox, Matip and Thiago all showed that Father Time was catching up with them and they arguably weren’t first team starters moving forward.
Vvd and Salah are showing absolutely no signs of that.
Vvd last season most minutes
Salah most goals and assists.
And both have hit the ground running this season.
01 Sep 2024 19:43:19
LFCDas I just get frustrated when so called Liverpool fans want to slag off the club and the players without any basis for what they are saying. It’s just childish whinging in my opinion and they fully deserve to have their words firmly shoved back down their throats.
01 Sep 2024 20:01:42
If you think back to last champions league final v madrid we actualy played them off the park but they got a goal against play casmerio never got a kick he was on his way down then now he is completly at end of his time in prem with man u but they have to play him because of his wages.
01 Sep 2024 20:39:43
Is this the same Salah playing for us that a sizeable number of people (certainly on this forum) wanted rid of at the back end of the 22/ 23 season?
01 Sep 2024 21:07:46
This whole shoving peoples words down their throats thing is v tedious from posters. Or only posting to say people's past posts about players are wrong after a recent game. These posters usually have little to no opinions of their own and only contribute to criticise others. For example Flashes 'Diaz has no end product' post. Last season Diaz was v wasteful infront of goal and his end product was seriously lacking. It cost us games.
At that time to say Diaz had no end product was accurate. This season however, he seems to be firing and everything is going in. Both things can be true. Yes sir Pecker. He was driving me nuts at the start.
I like what I'm seeing now.
A bit to go before you can chalk this up as a win but you certainly have me on the ropes.
PS. I'll be absolutely delighted for him and you to prove me wrong.
I will say this though in my defence, I wrote a transfer review before he joined and said he would turn out like this if he got stuck in and worked hard. Then he did the opposite so I got very vocal. But he is doing things now I didn't think he had and you saw them early. I'm really rooting for him.
01 Sep 2024 21:35:57
Really nasty post that Becker, so aggressive, maybe you need to calm down and remember everyone is entitled to their opinion even if it doesn't agree with yours. But wanting to shove fellow LFC fans words down their throat truly is one of worst things I've read on here in a long time.
01 Sep 2024 22:19:10
Pecker, I know we've disagreed in the past but I hope you weren't aiming that "so called Liverpool fan" at me. I ve been very positive about a lot of things but get vocal when I don't like certain aspects like Gravenberch's work rate on the pitch early doors. You can't tell me he was putting in the tackled and tracking back hard enough in those games.
But I, just like you I suspect, I watch and root for the team every single game.
I think we've kept our debates friendly too. I appreciate you are a knowledgeable supporter and very much defend the club on almost every level. I respect that and agree with a lot you say actually.
But if we disagree on something, I would prefer, like I've said many times before that intelligence or fanship be brought into question. Quite often both sides have valid points and what will happen will play out.
I was right that he wasn't putting in sufficient effort on the pitch at the time which he wasn't. Basic level is to run hard. You listed reasons like new country and no preseason, rhythm etc. As reasons and to have patience. Very valid. Still think running hard is easy enough though. I did say we should sell him. Really glad now we didn't though.
I like to think you were aiming that comment at someone else though although k don't think you should be aiming it at anyone on this site. I have been on this site long enough to know all the main ones here are true Liverpool fans. Differing views but true Liverpool fans all the same.
I'm as happy as anyone here to see Gravenberch play like he is playing now. Really hope it continues. It's great to see.
