Edd001 do you think elliots the same player since his injury? Before his injury he was starting and looked truly excellent. He's been in and out abs although there's plenty of games, he still finds himself a squad player.
{Ed001's Note - he was excellent at the end of the season and in preseason. He is just unlucky to be out of the picture as Slot prefers what Szobo brings to the role.}

Elliott will be fine. Absolute baller and super-hardworking young player.

there will be plenty of opportunity for Elliot. and the dude only turned 21 this year.
Great player to have backing up Szoboslai and a guy we know who has so much room to grow.

I personally don’t see any difference in him pre and post injury. He looked a bit tentative when he first came back but once he’d got over that he’s been fine. In fact he’s improved if anything as he’s got physically stronger and his defensive work is now much better. He used to be very weak in the tackle.
The one thing I think holds him back is a lack of genuine pace. He’s not slow but he’s not quick either. With his skill level that extra yard would make a huge difference as he could get away from players after doing them with his skill.
I don’t think Slot’s system relies on pace as much as Klopp’s did so hopefully it will suit him better. He’ll get his chance.

He’s a class player, great technique, great engine.
He’s going to be a fabulous player for Slots teams. A really key player for the future.

It seems to me like he has an excellent attitude - doesn’t sulk, always gives it his all when he’s on the pitch and at 21 will only get better, based on the attitude he’s shown so far.

The games are going to come fast now he will be involved.

i actually think his pace and stamina has improved since his injury. Probably due to growing into his body and i suspect he has been working on that area. Certainly seems to be tracking back much better - not through lack of effort as he has always worked his socks off on the field. So can only assume he has got quicker.

There will be loads of games from next weekend onwards, everybody will be needed and elliott will get plenty of starts. Szobo started last season on fire as well and faded away as season went on and that may have come from pplaying too much in 1st 3rd of season, he young as well only 2 years older than elliott annd is hungary main man so he will play ever minute for them as well.

I always find it interesting when people compare Elliot Pre and Post injury for Liverpool.
Prior to his injury Elliot had only made 6 PL appearances for Liverpool with 3 of them being starts and the other 3 a total of 21 minutes.
The season before the injury he had a very good season on loan at Blackburn.
I think Elliot Post injury has got better and better and agree with above that he was a bit tentative to start which is totally understandable.
He finished last season excellently and is just waiting on hos chance for this season.

he is a magnificent player with an infectious attitude and always wants to affect the game every time he gets on the ball. I have him pegged as being one of the players of the season this year and I'm sure he will come up with the goods in a big way despite being behind Dom in the pecking order right now.

I love him, PB. Technical ability on the ball is off the charts, IMO. Really happy he plays for my club cos if he played somewhere else, and shown what he has shown ability-wise, I would be screaming for us to sign him. Or at least for people take a hard look at him. I mean, RM wanted him for a reason.

Oli, part of his enthusiasm has to do with the fact that he's a Liverpool fan in the first place, so playing for us is the stuff of dreams for him. If he was playing for Real, I think he'd be missing a good chunk of that zeal.
