Which player did you really want us to sign in the past who your now glad we didn’t. have to say I really hoped at one time we signed timo Werner and I’m so glad we swerved that one. Gets into so many one v ones and always put it straight at the keeper.

not quite the question, but a couple players that sprung to mind were Mark 'speedy' gonzalez and Djibril Cisse. two guys I was really looking forward to arriving but then both got really bad injuries that I think impacted how good they could have been for us.
