I hope without malice Lassana Diarra loses his lawsuit against FIFA and the Belgian Football League. Look what happened with the last case of a footballer disputing his contract, we got the Bosman rule so footballers can just walk away like what Trent is possibly doing and LFC get nothing for 20 years work with him teaching him making him what he is, as other clubs have found to their cost.

We didn't get nothing, we got a top class player that played for us for 7 or 8 years.

Why would you want him to lose? His wages where unpaid for a period of time by Lokomotiv he then justifiably was allowed to cancel his contract and move on to actually get paid but then fifa or someone have ruled he and his new club after lokomotiv have to pay his contract? How is that fair? Trent has given back to the club in spades in shirt sales and performing to a high level and actually winning trophy’s the club will move on if it happens. didn’t everyone say Bradley was better last year anyway?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool don't get all of the money from shirt sales.}

If TAA stayed at Liverpool for the next ten years and hung up his boots would the club continue to pay his wages for the next 30 or 40 years of his retirement?

So you’d like for a players contract to expire and their club be able to with hold their registration for as long as they like? Meaning they can't sign for another team.
Can I ask why that is?

wow really lads let's try it another way the player walks away from his club because he had not been paid.

1. we don't know the full story of why he had his wages stopped

2. His club had the right to stop his wages if he had broken a club law or ruling .

3. He goes and walks away and signs for another football club while under contract to his club .

4. We are only hearing his side of the story.

As for Trent I was using him as an example but obviously you did not understand that .

Trent was six when he went to liverpool so they invested 20 years in teaching, training, educating him to what he is today and he can just walk away under a ruling made through a footballer named Bosman .

Bosman signed a contract with his club with likely his legal team and agent so he knew what he was signing and what the contract intailled and his club had the right to hold his contract until they could get the best price for him or convince him to sign a new contract .

Bosman won and this changed the face of football as a sport for ever clubs had turned football into a business whereas they have had to sell their souls to get the money to keep players at their clubs and going to countries around the world to get billionaires to buy their clubs so who won Bosman was forced out of football we lost a sport so who won?

Obviously people may not agree on this but I respect your opinions but do you not think players are now running the clubs and do you think that Shankly, Paisley, Catterick, Clough,
Kendals and the Fergie would have managed under the Bosman ruling?

Me I don't think they would have managed where players are getting bigger than the club .

Lokomotiv Moscow stopped paying his wages because they tried to negotiate his salary down and Diarra refused, which he was entitled to do. Then because they weren't paying him he stopped training. So they cancelled his contract.
If you’re going to be so opinionated on a subject maybe read up on it a little bit first.

Trent is an employee of the club; it doesn't own him.
A lot of fans invest their hard earned money into the club but they don't get a cut of any transfer fees or any financial rewards. And when they've done their eight hour shift or reached the end of their contract they are free to do what they want.
Why are Trent and Bosman any different?
