I don't know about you lot, but i am sick and tired of real madrid getting all the best players. It is so frustrating.

Remind me who Alisson and VVD play for?

That explains Man Utd transfer policy then "Let's buy 11 chancers who play like old ladies, that way we won't have to lose them to a good team".

@Iwllbered, become Prime Minister and then set up a financial institution or two under the direct control of the Government and then assist national treasures (like an iconic football team as a possible candidate) with seemingly unlimited financial assistance. Obviously this is a bit of fiction and would obviously never happen in the real world.

Just makes it more satisfying when we beat them.

gotta give it to them in some ways. they've heavily invested in young players, albeit very very good young players lol
but i guess I'm thinking that there's no guarantee with young players.

Personally i think we'd be well represented in a combined 11.

Ali
Trent Rudiger VVD Robbo
Valverde Tchoumeni Bellingham
Salah Mbappe Vini
LB been pretty poor for both teams last year or so but overall I think Robbo is much better then Mendy, you could put a case forward for Mac swapping with Valverde.

@Faithworks, most sides in the world would rival Madrid if they had the same financial backing - on one level spending an almost unlimited amount over decades is a pretty easy thing to do.

Wdw, to be fair Madrid tend to buy very well and choose the right talents to promote from their ranks (granted they let a few go who are certainly good enough to do a job for the starting 11 too), when they buy experience they also make the right choice more often than not in recent years. Having lots of money doesn’t necessarily equate to success, Barcelona dug themselves a huge hole and United are continually in the process of digging themselves a deeper one.

Fair points about the money not guaranteeing success @PB, you could add Chelsea and PSG to the list but I think Madrid are operating within a different set of parameters which, for me, tarnishes everything they achieve, a bit like, more recently, our friends at the Etihad.

Gravenberch keeps this form up and Tchoumaeni'd be benched aswell.

Edd001 has there ever been the kind of corruption at real mardrid that man city is now under scrutiny for?
{Ed001's Note - not really, as FFP rules have never really been a problem to them. There has been plenty of governmental corruption, with the govt funding them during the Franco era and plenty of refereeing corruption in their favour (up until Barca employed refs themselves). There was also the Madrid govt buying their training ground for a massively overinflated fee and gifting them in return a brand new training ground on a much bigger parcel of land along with it. But FFP was not a thing then, so it is similar to a degree, but also different.}

If you are upset about what other teams are doing then, I finally understand why you are so down on the team you actually say you support.
