Finally watching the game today. Chelsea look good.

Commentator said something interesting; all of our wins have been against clubs starting the weekend in the bottom half. The highest placed team we played was Forrest. I think we still have a lot to prove and can’t get too comfortable, although I love slot so far and the start we have had. Big win yesterday either way.

Not arsed about such narratives and frankly, this narrative is becoming tedious and grating for the ears. Chelsea couldn't beat Palace at the Bridge yet we beat them on their patch. Villa drew away at Ipswich yet we beat them on opening day. I can keep going.

IMO, the only we people we have to prove anything to is ourselves. We are literally a work in progress and with every game we win, it allows us lee-way to progress a lot while building our confidence moving forward. Nothing and nobody else matters, IMO.

Being optimistic takes courage, this fanbase has a lot of cowards.

Boring. You can only beat who’s infront of you. We play everyone twice.

{Ed025's Note - winning is the name of the game LFC8 and even though yesterday was as dull as dishwater mate its the result that counts in the end..

And in the Spurs v West Ham game the commentator said Michail Antonio has the nicest smile in football, the point being some commentators say crazy things haha.

the narrative will be whatever they will be.
One year we had the best record amongst the top 4 against top 4 teams but we were scraping to make the top 4. figure that one out lol

End of the day, what matters is consistency throughout the season.

Like Oli says football just doesn’t work that way. Every team in the PL has good players, managers and coaches and any team can beat you on their day if you’re not on it.

Just watch, if we get a result against Arsenal the narrative will be about the players they have missing.

Bar the Forest game, which I think caught Slot by surprise we have been up for every game and although I don’t think we’ve been scintillating in every game we’ve put a proper shift in and got the job done. It shows that the players want it and are playing for the manager.

The acid test is when we go through a bad spell and how Slot keeps the group together. It’s very easy for players to turn on each other when things aren’t going well and you need a strong leader to keep everyone moving in the right direction.

The reaction after Forest has been exemplary so I’m hoping that’s a sign of his leadership.

Bowser, city were very lucky against one of them bottom sides Wolves yesterday var gave them a goal to win the game which was disputed so teams in the lower half can beat top six teams look at Arsenal so don't underestimate the teams in the lower half and you can only beat the teams in front of you .

Spot on, Iwillbered. I didn't even mention that City were wretched vs Wolve, a so called "nobody" that we dominated (bar the Konate error) from start to finish comfortably.

Not even going to bring up the other "nobody" in B'mouth that Arsenal shamelessly got smoked by whereas we thumped them w/ o breaking a sweat to the point that the game was over after 30 mins.

Wolves is a nobody and Arsenal shamelessly lose to Bournemouth?
I thought nothing and nobody else matters, Oli?
