Good news guys for Madrid Match! Barcelona thrashed them! We now have a blue print, play a high line and press them and get forwards to go through middle and spring offside, Mendy is a disaster on madrid backline.
Every dynasty comes to an end! Time to get one over them for many yrs of misery, i would love it, i really, really love it!

What a game that was. Well, I only watched the second half but absolutely excellent from Barcelona.
27 Oct 2024 00:41:48
Calling it now:
Mbappe to Madrid was a mistake. All he's done is get in the way of Bellingham and Vini Jr.
27 Oct 2024 02:20:25
Mbappe is a very talented player but didn’t see where he was meant to fit in at real - always seemed to like playing on left where vini plays and when I’ve watched they’ve had to move players to suit…. if only there was a big number 9 that scores for fun.
27 Oct 2024 05:00:50
Gotta be honest I don't think mbappe is as good as everyone else does. He's an exceptionally rude person and if you take away his pace he is not especially good at much else.
He's not a deadly finisher, most of his shots are straight at keeper.
27 Oct 2024 06:51:27
Madrid certainly need a right back that much is clear ??.
27 Oct 2024 08:39:52
@Acered, yes. Since TAA find Madrid irresistible and Mbappe disrupt Madrid system, rendering Bellingham ineffective, let's trade TAA for Mbappe and maybe add 50mil.
27 Oct 2024 09:45:58
@Nevada - I think he has the tools to be one of the best, but PSG was the wrong move for him because there he could get away with being lazy and that's what he's become accustomed to. And now Madrid is another wrong move.
27 Oct 2024 10:02:40
Did anyone else read the original post in Kevin Keegan's voice?
27 Oct 2024 10:20:31
I did not see the game (damn it! ) but I read the fall out and post game analysis as well as the highlights and my goodness, Madrid was cooked by a Barcelona team filled with slick veterans and teenagers from La Masia. Absolute humiliation and really, we prolly should have seen this coming.
Madrid have been poor in the CL all season and have not been very consistent in La Liga hence, the 4 point gap Barcelona had before the game. Barcelona on the other hand (and under a new manager) has been great with a cohesive footie style that Flick has implemented perfectly and the youngsters who have come into the team while the senior players have been injured, have been awesome. Great result for them and RM need to shape up fast.
27 Oct 2024 10:36:41
Alonso will sort them out next season, hopefully without Trent.
I do not believe that Trent is a nailed on success at Real, not because he lacks talent, but because fitting a load of superstars together and making it work can be difficult.
27 Oct 2024 10:43:04
It's October.
I get that some of you dislike Madrid for being the most successful side in Europe for years but let's not get carried away, eh.
On the plus side, it might mean we get a fee for TAA ?.
27 Oct 2024 10:45:53
I'm with you on that Vango. The balance of the Madrid team feels off. They're like a bunch of footballers, albeit all very good ones, put together instead of being one coherent team. If I were a footballer looking to advance my own career, I'd stay away from them.
{Ed025's Note - i suppose it would depend on how much money they were prepared to pay you Drac, because lets be honest thats what its all about mate..
27 Oct 2024 10:49:03
Vinicus is a level above them all at mardrid and he doesn't even give his all most of the time. Bellinghams position has changed to a more deeper role and it's humbled the expectation. He's a very good player for his age but he's nothing special. He could well become an English player that peaked very early like Owen and Rooney.
Likewise mbappe, mbappe has it all in his football locker but he doesn't have the Ronaldo mindset to become a truly great player.
27 Oct 2024 10:55:27
Last time Barcelona beat Real the latter won the league and the Champs league. These games can happen and wouldn’t define a season.
27 Oct 2024 11:04:07
Rooney peaked very early?
I think he had a long and successful career.
27 Oct 2024 11:52:08
Last thing to add - for everyone slating Nunez for being offside, should have watched mbappe last night. Lost count how many times was offside, but still stand by is a talented player. Think issue any mega money signing real will have is the giant CR7 shadow that they’ll be compared to…and think only Halaand would match him goal wise but would still have to win a handful of CL.
27 Oct 2024 12:16:13
Mbappe's biggest mistake was staying so long at PSG
He should have moved earlier to a stronger league which would have improved his all game play.
27 Oct 2024 12:44:24
Whilst its an inherant part of human nature, chasing glory and gold does not guarantee success or happiness.
At Real you are just another number with a golden ball and chain of expectations at your feet.
27 Oct 2024 13:36:35
Oli, I watched the whole game and despite a chance or two for Vini, Madrid were poor. Mbappe finally went through, onside at two-nil down and fluffed his lines. As a team they looked a lot more balanced with Rodrygo and Vini up front. They were poor against Celta Vigo last week too.
As soon as Barcelona got the first they simply opened them up at will and Madrid did nothing to combat this either. Was a fairly good watch though, in the past these games have devolved into trying to get the other team players sent off and whilst there was a little of that, nowhere near as much as in the past.
27 Oct 2024 14:20:04
Mbappe to Saudi within 2 years to waste away his career, before going back to PSG to manage/ scout/ run accounts/ Play.
27 Oct 2024 15:30:27
Rooney dropped off at 26. His most explosive years were as a teenager and early twenties.
27 Oct 2024 21:39:34
@Rigsby - love the Keegan joke. ??
I agree at @Nevada. Every time I watch games with Mbappe in (not that I go looking for them) I have a (decreasing) expectation that he’ll do something exceptional. It’s been 4 or 5 years now and to be honest I’m still waiting. He has pace and, to his credit, he stays upright and doesn’t collapse in a heap when he is tackled but to me he is still a level or two off the top group of players in the world.
27 Oct 2024 21:53:08
We have massive problems of our own. Who gives a fly one about RM?
Oh maybe Trent.
27 Oct 2024 22:44:14
Massive problems?
28 Oct 2024 00:39:49
@Footy. In a parallel universe, we are a perfectly run club, where every decision made is perfect and we have won every single match in every single competition for the last 150 years. Every player we have signed has been absolutely perfect in every single game for, again the past 150 years and continue to improve on perfection year on year until they retire through boredom in their late 60s.
Sadly in our universe that’s not the case and the fact that we are in this universe is upsetting to some. You can usually spot them (and I’ve told them a million times) by their tendency to massively over exaggerate every massive fault and turn it into a massive catastrophe.
As Mr T once said”Man’s a fool, Hannibal”.
Anyway, onto Brighton to see what problems come next.
28 Oct 2024 07:49:12
Get a grip, WDW!
We can't be letting players retire in their 60s. They should be sold in their late 50s so we receive a fee for them. We are not a club that can afford to let players leave for nothing; no matter how many years of service we've had out of them. Have we not learned anything from the Dave Fallows debacle?
And we should sell Mac back to Brighton before our next two games.
We get a fee and his ineffectiveness allows to win both games. They should also sell us a left back and forget about the transfer window because I said this in the summer.
Well, I didn't really but after yesterday's draw it's what I now think should have happened in the summer.
28 Oct 2024 08:36:37
In fact Luis Diaz is better than Mbappe by quite a bit actually plenty of players are better than Mbappe. Never rates him a speed merchant with not many other strings to his bow.
28 Oct 2024 08:39:04
I do not like real madrid but in their defence to lose kroose and modric playing a bit part does not help madrid but they do look all over the place.
If reds fans think nunez misses chances take a look at the two chances sitters missed i know he scored twice but he could of had five goals . So the top players can miss chances so let's get behind Darwin Nunez hey reds.
28 Oct 2024 11:15:45
Strikers miss chances/ sitters. It is literally within their job description. Clearly for some, this accepted norm has never applied to Darwin Nunez. Sad.
28 Oct 2024 14:32:36
And left backs get beaten by wide players, Oli.
