Hi all,
A question for the EDs or anyone who would like to chip in.
What do you think is behind our slightly dodgy 1st half performances?
It seems that slot is generally able to rectify this issue at half time and we have gone on to win these games after a much better 2nd half showing.
Absolutely frilled with our league position obviously and it's starting to feel like we can probably sustain this to an extent.
Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - most likely it is just because he is still learning the league and it takes him 45 minutes to be able to assess the opposition and adjust the team.}

Sounds pretty logical to me. Here's hoping that when the slot machine gets a proper grip, we will start to get some more convincing performances. Thanks ED.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate.}

Hmm, weren’t we slow starters last season as well though?

We went 1-0 down last year, a lot, and that was under Klopp and the old coaching team.

Maybe it’s more down to the players?

I was about to post the same, Navy Keith. It's not a new phenomenon. No one seemed to be able to put their finger on it then either.

Maybe we were outplayed. Maybe we do get outplayed for spells in games.
Even playing teams that might not be as good us we can't just expect to beat them and dominate them. It works both ways, too. Istanbul, 2005, we were the best side for eight minutes.
It's sport and that's why I love it.

How many times have we been behind this season exactly?

03 Nov 2024 20:27:56
@Musuala in all comps. I think 3 times at Milan, at Arsenal and yesterday. And we came back to win or draw all 3 of them (2 wins, 1 draw) .

Now each time we have scored first, we have won all those games. So on the face of it, it shows if we start well and open the scoring, we win, period. Either way, we are still trying to find ourselves and it is great to see we can solve probs. on the pitch even if it can take a while at times.

Spot on Rigsby. It’s like other teams haven’t spent millions on getting the best players and managers they can to be competitive in the best league in the world.

How dare we not just roll over every team in every game.

Just look at what happened in Bournemouth yesterday and you’ll see that any team can have large periods of dominance against any other team. The trick is to still win when it happens.
